A little more from the March archives. 🤍

Every now and then, I get to step into a wedding day as the second photographer instead of the lead, and I genuinely love it.

There’s something really fun about getting to look at a wedding day a little differently. While the lead is focused on the main perspective, I get to watch what’s happening around it. Another angle. Another reaction. The people on the sidelines. The groom getting his own moment. The little things happening in between all the big ones.

And I think that’s what I love most about having two photographers on a wedding day. It isn’t about getting twice as many photos of the same thing. It’s about getting more of the story.

Danielle showed up with the color, the personality, two incredible looks, and the perfect backdrop to play with. This entire session felt bold, creative, and a little editorial, which is exactly where I love to be.

It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a wedding around here, so I figured it was time. 🤍

A little throwback to R + R’s wedding at Duneside Rendezvous in Ocean Isle Beach back in March. Intimate, laid-back, beautiful, and filled with the people they love most. Exactly the kind of day I love getting to help with.

And while we’re talking weddings… 2027 is booking up FAST. 👀

I already have some incredible couples and wedding days on the calendar for next year, and I’m genuinely so excited for everyone I get to work with and all of the moments I’ll get to document along the way.

And for my 2026 couples, I still have a little availability left this year, especially for elopements and intimate wedding days. 🤍

A few favorites from Mrs. Sandy’s 80th birthday celebration 🩷

I absolutely love this family, so getting to be there to document another milestone with them was pretty special. Mrs. Sandy was surrounded by so much love, family and friends, good food, lots of catching up… and because apparently one celebration wasn’t enough for the day, the World Cup was happening too 😂 So naturally, there were a few people sneaking off to check the score in between it all.

Celebrations like this give me a little bit of everything to photograph. The people who have known you forever, everyone catching up around the room, the details that were put together for the day, and all the random little moments happening in between.

Also, a reminder that weddings aren’t the only events on my calendar! I photograph birthdays, anniversary parties, corporate events, intimate gatherings and larger celebrations throughout Wilmington and all across North Carolina. Big or small, if you’ve got something worth documenting, I’m there.

Summer looks a little different around here. ☀️

I don’t typically photograph many weddings of my own during the summer months because, well… North Carolina is HOT. 😂 But while wedding season slows down for me, family season is in full swing, and I genuinely love it.

My summer evenings are filled with sandy feet, salty air, wild little ones, windblown hair, belly laughs, and families loving on each other in front of my camera.

And I wouldn’t trade it.

This beautiful evening in Carolina Beach was such a good one. We played, we ran, we laughed, we let the kids be kids, and somewhere in the middle of all of it, we made photographs that feel like them.

These are the kinds of family photos I love most. A few for the frame, of course, but mostly the ones that remind you exactly what this season of your family felt like. 🤍

I think sometimes social media can make us feel like everything we create needs to be a production.

A concept. The perfect styling. Something wildly creative. Something that makes you stop scrolling.

And listen, I LOVE all of that. Give me a creative idea and count me in. 😂 But that isn’t what every session needs to be, and honestly, it isn’t what every person wants.

A lot of the work I’ve been creating lately has been organic. Families wanting beautiful photos together. People wanting to document what life looks like right now. No elaborate concept, no chasing the latest trend, just real people trusting me to make something beautiful with them.

These were just a handful of solo portraits we grabbed during a family session. Nothing was planned around them. No big production. Just a few minutes, a beautiful coastal evening and a dude who happened to be a whole freaking vibe. 🤌🏼😂

And I LOVE them.

I think that’s the little reminder I needed lately. Creativity doesn’t always have to be loud or fussy to count. Sometimes it’s simply seeing what’s in front of you and making something good out of it.

Also, I clearly need to create with the bros more often. Consider this my application. 😂🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

A little branding refresh for the radiant human behind The Radiant Habit. ✨

I had SO much fun with Mackenzie during this session. We ran around, chased some beautiful light, loved on the pups, sipped some matcha and somehow ended up on a pool float. Basically, a branding session done right. 😂

But what Mackenzie is building goes so much deeper than pretty pictures.

She is a CIRS Coach + Educator, helping people navigate Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome through education, resources and support. It’s incredibly meaningful work, and getting to hear more about what she does and why she does it made me even more excited to create these with her.

She wanted her branding photos to feel like her: bright, approachable, relaxed and professional without feeling too corporate. She wanted to keep things light and simple, and honestly, it fit her brand perfectly. A mix of polished headshots, lifestyle imagery and plenty of personality.

Mackenzie, you were an absolute DREAM to work with. Thank you for trusting me to help put a face to the work you’re doing. I can’t wait to see these sprinkled all over The Radiant Habit. 🤍✨
