Dodging storms is the name of the game this time of year. This was a hot one, but the passing rain squalls cooled things off just enough. We were rewarded with an epic sunset as we took a walk along the cobblestone streets of Water St. I always love when a couple is down to dance in the rain!

Still playing a little catch up on the grams. The hardest part of social media is trying to narrow down what to post! Spent an embarrassingly long time on this selection of images from Olivia & Conrad’s wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center. I could’ve shared them all! I couldn’t believe how perfectly timed their first dance was, with the sun setting perfectly through the iconic bay window, they were illuminated with a halo-like glow. It was one of those moments that felt completely effortless and impossible to recreate—pure magic.

Our second attempt for Emily & Connor’s engagement session was a success! Our first attempt, a busy Saturday on Wrightsville Beach, was quickly upset by a 15 car line getting into Access 2 on the North End. We opted for a less hectic, mid-week date that brought cooler temps and considerably less traffic to this coveted spot, where Connor had proposed this past fall. We spent some time in the dunes and along the shore on the beach side before making our way to the marsh for sunset. Definitely one of my favorite spots, where if you time the tide just right, the marsh opens up to a series of trails that may just be the best place to watch the sunset on the island. Super excited to be headed back to this spot for their wedding this coming fall!!

If you’ve spent any time in downtown Wilmington, you’ve probably walked right past The Atrium without even realizing the open-air secret garden hidden behind its walls. Hannah & Kyle’s wedding was the perfect blend of romance, elegance, and timeless charm. Playing a little game of catch up, zipped off to Costa Rica for a week shortly after this wedding then immediately hit the road for western NC for a wedding in Nantahala, another 2 weddings coming up this weekend. Busy season is upon us!
