ARTISTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT Welcomes Artist Peter Volpone from Atlanta Georgia. Peter will be joining us this weekend and painting live at “Artists In The Spotlight“. Peter is an outstanding artist and his work has been shown in many art events local and international. Come stop by and meet Peter as he paints and displays some of his art pieces with us this weekend.

Peter has a unique style "Whether it’s painting in oils/acrylics, illustrating digitally, writing poetry, experimenting with video editing, or working on his graphic novel, Peter is always pursuing a new passion project, often racing to finish one idea just so he can start running to the next one! Peter uses his various creative mediums to explore nature, reality, space, and spirituality, often with a surreal, psychedelic, or impressionist spin.

After graduating from Virginia Tech with a BA in Creative Writing, Virginia-born Peter Volpone has made his way down to Atlanta to find his way in Southern Hollywood . While at VT he spent a few years as the prose editor for the collegiate literary and arts magazine, The Silhouette, and his work Interpretations of Vibrations was later published by the same magazine after his departure. A writer by education but an artist by passion, he’s pushed his focus into painting, illustration, and comic book creation in recent years, but poetry still holds a special place in his heart.

Peter is currently a Co-Host of the Atlanta Illustrators & Makers Meetup group, where artists in the metro Atlanta area can come together to share their work and make lasting friendships with each other.

ARTISTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Hi I’m Gene Panis, I am an artist. I have been work with individuals who enjoy art like myself. I teach art as well as sharing my experiences and knowledge about the art world.

This is artist Ed Smola, he is a mix media artist who always takes on new challenges and loves to explore on each piece of artwork that he creates. He is retired and Ed has been only painting for a little over 2 years now. As a Veteran in the US Air Force, Ed has establish his art work under Veterans Art. Since he has been painting his Art work has been accepted in Veterans Art Institution, as well as winning awards / ribbon in a local juried Art show . His art work has been seen in local juried shows and international juried show.

Come to Seaglass Monthly Market 5601 Castle Hayne Rd , Castle Hayne, NC on July 17th, 18th, and 19th Friday- Sunday 9:00am to 3:00pm. Artists Carol Zinn is just one out of five artists with Artists in the Spotlight that was jury selected for this upcoming ALL ART nSHOW at the Leland Cultural Arts Center. This will be her first juried art show and we are all so happy for her.

Her art piece titled: QUILTED SUNSET
is a unique and fabulous art piece which is constructed from colorful fabric that was sewed together to create this amazing Quilted Art. Carol is a multimedia artist and loves painting with acrylic paint, watercolors, needle felting and more.

Come see her art work at the art show in Leland or at our next Seaglass Monthly Market June 19th - 21st Fri -Sunday 9-3pm in Castle Hayne. Seaglass Is located at 5601 Castle Hayne Rd, Castle Hayne NC.
