🐾 More Than Just a Photo Booth… It’s a Chance to Connect! 🐾

Looking back at our first year at Dog Days of Spanaway, I’m so grateful for these incredible images captured by Jackie Phairow Photography, the event photographer. She did such an amazing job documenting the day, including our little corner of the event! 📸❤️

Our pop-up Photo Booths are about so much more than getting a cute picture of your dog. They’re an opportunity for me, Heather, to meet you and your pups, interact with them, and give you a little glimpse into how I work with dogs even cats in the sometimes busy, chaotic environment of an event.

Some dogs jump right in. Some need a little encouragement. Some have their own very specific ideas about how their photo session should go. 😂 And that’s exactly what I love!

These events give us a chance to engage with our community, meet new friends, introduce you to Moore-Art Photography, and most importantly, give you and your pup a fun memory to take home. 🐶💕

A HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers and organizers who made Dog Days of Spanaway such an incredible event. It was our first year participating, and we absolutely loved being part of it. We’re already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Last year, we brought Raven to Dog Days of Spanaway just to check it out... and we were completely blown away! 🐾

There were so many amazing vendors, fun activities, delicious food trucks, and what felt like thousands of happy dogs and their people. We had such a great time that we knew we had to be part of it this year!

So come see us this Sunday, August 2, from 11 AM–4 PM at the Sprinker Recreation Center! We'll have our Moore-Art Photography booth, a fun pop-up photo booth, giveaways, and we'd love to meet you and your pups.

And here's a funny behind-the-scenes story... 😄

I picked out our photo booth backdrop because I loved its vintage summer vibe. After doing a test shoot with Raven, I opened the vendor information email and realized... it almost perfectly matches the Dog Days of Spanaway logo! Totally unplanned, but I guess it was meant to be. 😂

Hey everyone! Guess what you and your dog are doing this Saturday. Pups on Parade!

We will be there with a booth. I know we usually do a pop up photo booth but we will not have one this time. This week I tweaked my knee and it's still in a bit of discomfort. I do a lot of squats photographing the pups and it would be too much. I'll have the time to really chat with the community about their pets and what art we can create together.

Do not worry there are a couple more events coming up that you'll have the opportunity to visit our pop up photo booth.

🎉🇺🇸 Happy 12th Birthday, Foster! 🇺🇸🎉

Some birthdays deserve to be celebrated just a little bigger… and Foster’s certainly did. ❤️

This sweet boy recently turned 12, and because he’s been facing some health challenges, his family wanted to make this birthday one they’ll always remember. Since his birthday falls around the Fourth of July, we created a fun red, white, and blue celebration complete with the most incredible custom birthday cake from the talented team at Healthy Dog Treats . They absolutely knocked it out of the park once again!

These sessions are about so much more than cake. They’re about celebrating the unconditional love our dogs bring into our lives, honoring every milestone, and preserving the memories we’ll treasure forever. Watching Foster enjoy his special day while capturing these moments for his family was such a privilege.

It’s that time of year again... sunflower planting season! 🌻

Last year was our very first year offering Sunflower Limited Edition Sessions, and they exceeded every expectation. The response was incredible, and I absolutely fell in love with the beautiful images we created among the blooms.

As with any first year, I learned a lot and started dreaming about ways to make this year’s sessions even better. So, naturally, I did what any flower-loving photographer would do—I planted more sunflowers! 🌻✨

This year we’re expanding beyond our classic field of bright yellow sunflowers. In addition to those golden beauties, we’re creating a second area filled with stunning deep red and rich purple sunflowers for an even more unique and colorful experience.

Yesterday I took Raven to the Lupine meadow. It wasn’t the ideal time of day but it was the only time I could go. It was hot so we didn’t stay long but I was able to set up a light and get a few shots out of it.
I would go back at golden hour am or pm. But I decided this fall I’m going to plant my own mini Lupine field for next spring.

We had a very busy, sweaty but very fun day with our dog loving and cancer fighting community. We did 67 sittings in just four hours and 84 dogs in total how I’m still standing is still a mystery but I am. Now I will start all my organizing and editing and getting those emails out to everybody by Tuesday. Can’t wait for you guys to see them all and keep your eye out on this page for upcoming events.
