A little spooky, a whole lot of personality, and just the right amount of crazy!

From the incredible costumes to the playful moments in between, this session was anything but ordinary. And I loved every minute of it!

Some family photos are about a beautiful location.
Others are about documenting the life you’ve built. 🩶

The horses. The dusty boots. The kids who are growing way too quickly. The animals that are absolutely part of the family. The laughter, the chaos, and all those little interactions that don’t seem extraordinary until one day you realize how much you miss them.

And for Katee’s family, this season came with an especially big milestone—sending her daughter off to Arizona State University! ❤️💛 The ASU gear was a little celebration of the exciting new chapter ahead, and a reminder of just how quickly these years fly by.

This session with Katee and her family felt like Colorado in the best possible way—relaxed, a little western, and completely them. 🐴✨

These are the photographs I think become more valuable with time. Not because everything was perfectly posed, but because they preserve what this season of life actually felt like.

And that’s always worth documenting. 🩶

Golden aspens, historic buildings, and two people who made this session so much fun. 🍂🩶

Knowing Kimo’s love for history made Ashcroft Ghost Town the perfect place to explore with him and Kendal. I loved their willingness to play, wander, and trust my creative eye.

And the best part? Next year, we’re trading autumn colors for mountain wildflowers when these two say their vows! 🌸❤️

The twins are heading off to college, but first, one more family trip to Telluride. 🩶

I loved photographing Katy’s family during this little pause between what life has always looked like and everything that’s coming next.

Same family. New chapters. And a pretty incredible mountain backdrop to remember this one by. 🏔️

WELCOME TO THE ASYLUM! 🖤🎃

Who’s in charge? No one knows. Around here, the lines between crazy and sane tend to blur... and honestly, we’re not sure anyone wants to find their way back. 😂💉

October is the perfect time for a little madness.
Straight out of the asylum and just in time for spooky season! 👻

These pin-up girls traded their vintage glamour for straitjackets, sinister nurses, and a whole lot of beautifully unhinged chaos. And I was absolutely HERE for it! ❤️

This is what I love about creative photography. No rules, no expectations, just a wild idea brought to life by some incredibly fun women.

They had never met in person. Until this moment. ❤️

After all the conversations, all the anticipation, and all the wondering what it would feel like to finally be standing in the same place… there she was, waiting at the airport.

And then he walked through those doors. 🩶

I got to photograph their very first hello. Their first hug. Their first kiss. The nervous laughter that slowly turned into *oh… there you are.*

There was nothing elaborate about this session. No mountain overlook. No perfect golden-hour light. No carefully styled location.

Just an airport, a couple of suitcases, fluorescent lights—and two people finally getting to be together.

And honestly? I think that’s what makes these photographs so special.

By the end, they weren’t two people meeting for the first time anymore. They were just Gregg + Kate, laughing, kissing, curled up together waiting on luggage…and eventually walking out of the airport side by side. ❤️

Sometimes the story is bigger than the scenery.

And I feel pretty lucky that I got to document the very first page of this one. 🩶

Twenty minutes. That’s all they gave me. 😂🩶

And somehow, it was enough to capture all of this.

This extended family gathered at Taylor Reservoir, a place that’s been part of their family story for years, to document something pretty special: everyone together.

We had sweeping mountain views, plenty of laughter, snuggles, a little chaos, and a few tiny humans who decided they had better things to do than take pictures. 😂

So we rolled with it.

And in about 20 minutes, we made these memories.

Because here’s the thing about family photographs: nobody needs to be perfectly posed, perfectly behaved, or even looking at the camera the whole time.

The real magic is in the connection. The laughter. The chaos. The way your family looks and feels right now.

And when we get to capture all of that in a place that’s already woven into your family’s story? Even better. 🩶🏔️

From sunflower fields to softball diamonds. 🌻🥎❤️

Some places become part of your story without you even realizing it.

For Ari, there’s the softball field—countless evenings, practices, games, and memories made under those lights. And then there’s the sunflower field, where we traded cleats for a white dress and soaked up a little Colorado sunshine. 🌻

Two completely different settings, but both so perfectly her.

Ari, here’s to everything you’ve accomplished, the memories you’ve made, and all the incredible things still ahead of you. 🩶

Sometimes the plan changes. The reason you’re there doesn’t. 🩶

Kim & Rob’s wedding day was always meant to be intimate—just the people who mattered most, surrounded by the mountains.

Their original location near Owl Creek wasn’t an option after a fire changed the plans, so we pivoted.

And honestly? They just rolled with it. ❤️

Because the location was never really the important part.

Kim’s daughter officiated their ceremony. Their family stood beside them. They exchanged vows surrounded by aspens, water, and those enormous San Juan Mountain views—and then spent the evening simply enjoying the fact that they were married.

No huge production. No need for everything to go exactly according to plan.

Just two people, their family, and a really beautiful reason to celebrate. 🩶🏔️

And maybe that’s one of my favorite things about intimate weddings: when plans change—and sometimes they will—you have the freedom to make a new plan and keep going.

Kim & Rob did exactly that.

Some sessions get good light. Some get a rainbow. 🌈🏔️

The San Juans decided to show off a little extra for Jillian and her family.

Between the mountain views, the kids being themselves, the dog joining in, and an actual rainbow appearing behind them, this was one of those evenings where Colorado did what Colorado does best. 🩶

But as incredible as the backdrop was, my favorite part is still everything happening in front of it—the laughter, the movement, the relationships, and all those little moments that make a family theirs.

Jillian, thank you for trusting me to document your crew. 🩶
