photographer who's work has been recognized by National Geographic, Red Bull, Google INC, and Cirque Du Soleil to name a few. He is currently working closely with the March of Dimes Foundation to capture a special image to be auctioned off for charity this year. John was brought up on the Central Coast of California. At the age of 4, he was given his first camera, and has since traveled all over the world for his photography. Completely self-taught, John has taken his art from a passionate hobby to a highly successful enterprise. He recently opened his first gallery at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. It was there he met recording artist and "Headliner of the Year" Frankie Moreno. Frankie believed in his art so much he hired John on as his personal photographer. At the time new to the world of live “concert” photography, John grabbed it by the reigns and has since shot for several Vegas Headliners and shows from Britney Spears to Carrot Top. "There is something about the stillness of a photo that is just completely calming. Unlike a film, which gets 30 frames per second to make a moment perfect, I get one frame. One frame to capture a perfect moment that will never be seen again in history. Sometimes you have to hike miles carrying 50-100 lbs of equipment in the middle of a jungle - by yourself. Nothing is more satisfying to me than walking away with that one epic shot." Says Knopf

Striving to make each image unique, John has now created one of the finest collections of landscape photography. Every frame is hand chosen to ensure that it is custom tailored to the piece. Using the finest materials, fuji crystal archive paper, and metal dye bond molding, John’s images will last you a lifetime. There are only 750 limited edition prints made of each image, including 50 artist proof prints. Each piece is numbered and signed personally by John. Searching the world through true passion, John is always driven and determined to get the ultimate shot. His images speak for themselves.

Land of 10,000 lakes. That's the common nickname for Minnesota. And it couldn't be more accurate. There are so many places in the world that have endless epic mountains and landscapes, but very few have as many lakes as the state of Minnesota. This is my second release from the midwest and this one really hits home for me. I call this image "Life of Pi" for quite a few reasons. As the artist, when creating a piece of art, you are trying to evoke an emotion. When creating this image I was at Lake Independence. After spending a year going to this location I finally had all the photographic elements I wanted. The boat was facing the direction I needed. There weren’t any boats on the water (which left a still reflection). The sun was setting, leaving this brilliant vivid purple and pink hue in the clouds. Then, right as the sun revealed a spot of light through the clouds, I snapped this image, capturing the rays of the sun along with every other element I wanted. “Life of Pi” speaks simplicity and tranquility, which is the emotion or feeling I was hoping to relay through this image. The state of Minnesota changes a lot through the seasons and I truly believe the only way to really experience a place is to live there through the seasons. After spending a year in Minnesota I couldn't be happier with my newest release and final most balanced image yet: "Life of Pi".

HUGE THANKS to Ridgedale Center for getting behind their new artist and gallery. We really have put a lot into this new gallery and now have a brand new display thanks to the awesome team at Ridgedale.
