Disney released Halloweentown High on VHS in September of 2005, which is considered a very late release in VHS-world. This tape in particular seems to have circulated in remarkably small numbers.
Original copies have become something of a white whale among Disney Channel Original Movie and VHS collectors. They surface infrequently enough that there really is no sales/comp history available.
Well, the VHS gods blessed us and we recently came across one. 🎃📼 (AND IT’S NOT A BOOT)
It’s an original 2005 Walt Disney Home Entertainment release (catalog #40124), complete with its wonderfully purple slipcase. We’re currently debating what to do with it. Sell it? Keep it in the Retrospekt archive? Put it on a tiny pedestal and admire it every October?
TBD. But we would consider serious offers if this is your white whale.
