I apoligise for the gap in time since I have posted anything here! In the last couple years I have gone through several life changing events.. moved to L.A., hated it and ended up moving back home to Wisconsin, started a Halloween Silicone Mask company with my husband, stared a business of my own selling my watercolor artwork, horror photography and handmade jewelry, and in the midst of all these changes losing a loved one and gaining new friends along the way. Its been a wild ride and I'm happy that things have finally started to balance out where I now have more time to plan for photoshoots and freelance makeup artistry! I will be posting more current work here again and seeking models to work with! Message me if your interested in booking a shoot! :)

Inspired by Caliban on the series Penny Dreadful. He is my favorite character and my favorite version of the Frankenstein monster. Beautifully written and the acting divine, I was inspired to do my own version based on his character. I found a photo of him that I LOVED and used it as a starting off point. Here is the first photo from the set along with the photo of Caliban that I wanted to do my own version of.

Makeup look today: Inspired by the horizon.

Lancome Person Style shadow
Urban Decay Freak shadow
Smashbox Champagne shadow
Makeup Forever pigment in Dragonfly Wings
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara Black
Cover Girl Line Exact in Black

Take Personal Style from lash line to crease, then just above the crease use Freak to blend under brow bone, down into crease and inner corner of the eye. Layer with Dragonfly Wings in inner corner to center of the lid and then take Champagne under brow to highlight and blend. Do a cat eye eyeliner, 2 coats mascara and line under the eye with Freak and Personal Style! :)

Trend Alert! Color Blocking.

Basically you want to take a lot of compatible colored eye shadows and place them in a flattering manner ending with the colors then blended slightly. For this look I used:

Urban Decay Freak & Fishnet shadow
Lancome Personal Style shadow
Too Faced Petals To The Metal shadow
and lastly Medusa Makeup Electric Yellow
I then used Cover Girl Line Exact Liquid Liner &
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

Use Freak in the inner corner of the eye, then use Personal Style on the lid blended slightly above the crease and into the Freak shadow. Take Fishnet and place this on the outer edge of your eye blending upward and into the lid. Next use Petals To The Metal to highlight above Fishnet. Then use Electric Yellow under the brow. I like to use clear tape to get a crisp line of shadow. After I remove the tape I use concealer as well to help complete the crisp line of shadow. Using lid primer first I will then take a small brush to line under the eye with selected shadows. Finish with liner and mascara.

Now you are ready to walk the runway! WERK! ;)
