We had a great time at THE CR8TV HOUSE, INC. 2026 Joy On The Block party this past weekend!! ❤️🎉 Thank you Symphony, Josh & all the folks who made this event possible. It’s beautiful to see community, art and neighborhood support come together.

Joy on the Block brought the neighbors and other members of the community out. It was truly beautiful to witness. The music carried across the area and became the invitation for everyone to come and have a good time.

The goal wasn’t to sell the community anything or overly offer resources, there is a lot of events already designed to do that.

The vision was to simply create moments for folks to connect, human to human.

We used food, art and vibes to do that.

We had Tayla leading chalk murals, providing community education, Detaya Johnson doing face painting,
Tina King bounce house for jumping joy,
Joshua Zawadi connecting with families!
LoLo (Lauren) kept the music going - even taught a neighbor and the kids how to DJ,
KLASSIK providing the hits and
Ojumire Dounfola Charleston from Artist Fka Juju with the interactive African drumming!

The CR8TV HOUSE had a watercolor table and all the kids enjoyed themselves.

Kentrell Washington had a mental health table and invited folks to assess their anxiety while also sharing mental health support resources.

Can’t forget about Next Door Foundation and their donated books for the kiddos.
art kits were a hit as well!

It would have never been possible without my team’s help. ❤️ I’m extremely grateful to be supported by folks who trust me while I take on new opportunities. It feels so good to draw on my diverse work/life experiences and put them to work for a better Wisconsin for ALL of us.

It’s amazing how doors you never thought possible open when you least expect it. Most days I can’t believe this is my life (in the best way possible).

Pic 20 is the most important in this carousel. Around 1:20 pm Fran handed me a banana-flavored Orion Choco-Pie, expressed her gratitude for the event, and told me to eat. This was the first person who offered me food all day and that speaks volumes to me.

This woman CARES and she will care for Wisconsin. I can’t wait until she’s our governor. ❤️🙏🏻

We’re here, we’re q***r & we’re collecting donations for our next “swap”. Swap in “” because let’s be honest - it’s WAY more than a swap and you’re never required to bring anything to “swap.” Come get what you want/need without the pressure to bring something to swap.

With that said, if you have the capacity to make these swaps a reality, we need your help (& the world needs more people like you, thank you. ❤️).

1. Please see the second slide above for items we need. If you have any unused and/or in good shape items that you can donate OR the capacity to purchase some, please drop them off at M-F 9:30a-3:30p. Unfortunately at this time we cannot support donation pick up.

2. Don’t have those items or can’t drop them off?

✨ Option 1: Venmo -robarge (monetary donations will be used for various hygiene products listed above).

✨ Option 2: If you can’t financially contribute at this time (respect), but you can donate time. We are looking for volunteers to help before, during and after the swap.
