🚒 WILMORE FIRE DEPARTMENT — FULL THROTTLE 🚒

I am so proud to announce our partnership with the City of Wilmore Fire Department!

We’ve spent the past few months working alongside the Wilmore Fire Department to create a video that captures the small-town vibes while also showcasing the fast-paced, growing department that Wilmore is today.

This is just the trailer for Full Throttle — we’re still hard at work putting together the full video! 🎥🔥

Georgetown Fire Department (Kentucky) Engine 1 is the primary engine assigned to Fire Station 1 at 141 S. Broadway Street in downtown Georgetown.

Georgetown Fire Department took delivery of a brand-new 2025 Pierce pumper in October 2025, It was ordered in December 2024 and was built as a stock Pierce engine so it could be delivered faster than a fully custom apparatus.

Current apparatus information:

* 2025 Pierce Enforcer
* Engine 1
* 1,500 GPM pump
* 750-gallon water tank
* Assigned to Station 1
* Station address: 141 S. Broadway St., Georgetown, KY 40324

Engine 1 serves as a frontline engine. Its primary responsibilities include responding to structure fires, vehicle fires, alarms, and other emergency calls while providing the initial water supply, hose lines, and fireground equipment.

🏠 Station 1

Station 1 is one of Georgetown Fire & Rescue’s three stations. The department operates with 24-hour availability and frequent training, and its mission is centered around protecting and saving lives in Georgetown.

Station 1 is also significant because Georgetown-Scott County EMS operates from the same location, so Fire/EMS resources are colocated there. Georgetown Fire Station No. 1

🔥 The old Engine 1

Before the new Pierce arrived, Georgetown’s Engine 1 was listed as a 2005 E-One Typhoon II, equipped with a 1,500 GPM pump and 750-gallon tank.

So the department essentially went from a 2005 E-One → 2025 Pierce for Engine 1, a pretty substantial modernization.

Here’s a little about the meaning behind our challenge coin!

The front features a clean, simple design showcasing the Central Kentucky Buffs logo.

The back tells a much bigger story. At the top is an old Mack CF Aerialscope that once served as 82 Truck with the Wilmore Fire Department. I chose this truck because Wilmore Fire Department was the very first department I joined, making it a meaningful tribute that fits perfectly with our motto, “Preserving Memories.”

At the bottom center is a camera, representing what Central Kentucky Buffs is all about—capturing the moments, history, and memories of the fire service.

On the left is a firefighter’s helmet, symbolizing the courage it takes to put that helmet on and answer the call.

On the right are Kentucky bourbon barrels, a tribute to our home state and the heritage that makes Kentucky unique.

Every element on this coin was intentionally chosen to tell a story and represent the mission of Central Kentucky Buffs: Capturing Courage. Preserving Memories.
