Meet Dylan! ✨

A senior at Frederick Douglass High School and another member of our Class of 2027 Promethean Senior Ambassador team.

If you’ve been following the Ambassador photographs we’ve shared so far, you’ve probably figured something out:

We’re not particularly interested in making senior pictures that look like senior pictures. 😉

Fashion. Editorial. Casual. Glam. Completely unexpected.

We want to explore all of it.

And Dylan is going to have an entire senior year to step in front of our cameras and help us see just how many different directions we can take it.

The goal isn’t simply to photograph what she looks like at 17 or 18.

It’s to capture a little bit of who she is becoming.

We’ve only just gotten started. 📸🔥

Meet Izzy! ✨

A senior at Frederick Douglass High School and one of the five faces representing our Class of 2027 Promethean Senior Ambassadors.

There’s something we particularly love about this program: we aren’t looking for five girls who photograph exactly the same way.

Quite the opposite.

We want different personalities, different styles and different ideas because that’s when things get interesting.

Over the next year, Izzy gets to help us figure out exactly what her version of a Promethean senior portrait looks like.

And we’re pretty excited to find out. 🔥

Meet Alex! ✨

Representing Lincoln County High School, Alex is bringing confidence, personality and some serious camera presence to our Class of 2027 Ambassador team.

One of the things we loved when putting this group together was finding seniors who were willing to step outside the traditional senior-picture box and actually create with us. Alex definitely understood the assignment.

Over the next year, we’re going to experiment with different looks, push some creative boundaries and give her plenty of opportunities to show us different sides of who she is.

Something tells us this one is going to keep us on our toes. 📸

Meet Kylie! ✨

Representing West Jessamine High School, Kylie joins our Class of 2027 Promethean Senior Ambassador team for a year that we’re hoping includes a little fashion, a lot of creativity and at least a few ideas that make Whitney question what I’ve gotten us into. 😂📸

That’s actually part of the point.

Our Ambassador Program gives us room to experiment, collaborate and create photographs that go beyond the traditional definition of a senior portrait.

And Kylie now has an entire year to help us do exactly that.

Different concepts. Different sides of her personality. And photographs that hopefully say something about who she was at this particular moment in her life.

Representing Madison Southern High School, Grace is one of five seniors joining us for our Class of 2027 Promethean Senior Ambassador Program.

Over the next year, you’ll be seeing a lot more of Grace as we push some creative boundaries, try a few ridiculous ideas and document a pretty important chapter along the way.

Because senior year isn’t only about looking back at who you’ve been.

Sometimes the people who appear the most confident are still learning to see themselves that way.

I’ve had the privilege of watching Alyssa-Kate grow up.

I’ve watched her find her voice, set goals for herself, and develop a drive that continually impresses me. And now, as one of our Promethean Models, I’ve had the chance to watch something else happen in front of my camera.

She’s becoming increasingly comfortable simply being seen.

That matters.

Because confidence isn’t always loud.
It isn’t the absence of insecurity.
And it certainly isn’t believing every photograph of yourself is perfect.

Sometimes confidence is simply learning to trust your own voice more than all the voices telling you who you should be.

That’s what Witness has increasingly become about.

We strip away the elaborate wardrobe, the scenery and the distractions. We leave the person, the light and the camera.

And then we watch.

Not for perfection.

For recognition.

That little moment when someone stops wondering whether they’re enough and begins to see what the people who care about them may have seen all along.

We don’t create confidence.
We create the opportunity to recognize it.

We don’t create beauty.
We simply remove the distractions long enough for someone to see what was already there.

The camera bears witness.
The photographs are the evidence.

Confidence doesn’t have a look.

Sometimes it’s powerful.

Sometimes it’s quiet.

Sometimes it’s vulnerable.

And sometimes it’s the moment you stop thinking about the camera, let your guard down, and simply feel good being yourself.

Meet Liv.

Her Witness portraits remind us that confidence isn’t one expression, one pose, or one version of ourselves.

There is strength here.
There is softness.
There is intensity.
There is joy.

All of it belongs to the same person.

That’s what Witness is about.

Created at Promethean Photography Studios in Lexington, Kentucky, Witness uses a deliberately simple approach to editorial portrait photography and beauty portraiture.

A black background.
Minimal styling.
Intentional light.

Nothing competing with the person standing in front of the camera.

The camera doesn’t decide who’s beautiful.

It doesn’t measure confidence.

It simply records the light that’s placed before it.

And sometimes, somewhere between the first photograph and the last, something shifts.

Not the person.

The way they see themselves.

Maybe confidence isn’t about becoming someone new.

Maybe it’s reaching that moment when the noise gets quiet, the expectations fall away, and you realize you’re finally comfortable being the person who was there all along.

And that feels pretty damn good.

OUR LIPS ARE SEALED. 🤫🖤

We could tell you what happens when you put five Seniors in front of a camera, start with jeans and tees, turn up the music…and then tell everyone to change into their Little Black Dresses.
But honestly?

The pictures tell that story better than we can. 😂📸
A little casual.
A little glam.
A LOT of personality.
And somewhere along the way, our Senior Ambassador shoot started looking suspiciously like an ’80s girl-group album cover.

Which got us thinking…

Every story has an origin.
If Gabby looks familiar, you’ve probably seen her in a few of our campaigns over the past year. As one of our Class of 2026 Senior Ambassadors, she became one of the faces of Promethean.
What you may not know is that she also helped inspire the Witness Project.
This session reminded us that photography can be about so much more than creating beautiful portraits. Sometimes the camera simply reveals the confidence that was already there.
These images will always hold a special place in our hearts because they helped shape a project that’s become one of the most meaningful things we’ve ever created.
Thank you, Gabby, for trusting us before the Witness Project even had a name.
