Four sessions. šŸ¤ And somehow, each one just gets a little sweeter.

I’ve had the joy of photographing the Kelvington family four different times now, and getting to watch their family grow through my lens is one of the sweetest parts of this job.

This time, we spent golden hour walking through the park, soaking up the evening, laughing, and just enjoying being together. These are the sessions I never take for granted—the ones where I get to come back again and again and document not just a moment, but a family’s story as it unfolds.

There’s something so special about watching families grow, and I’m so thankful they’ve trusted me to capture it along the way. šŸ„¹šŸ¤

The kind of family photos you’ll look back on and remember how it *felt*. šŸ¤

The little hands, the belly laughs, the in-between moments, and the people who make this season of life so sweet.

Because someday, these ordinary moments will be the ones you wish you could step back into.

So let’s document them—beautifully, honestly, and just as you are. ✨

Not to be dramatic, but… this belongs on Pinterest. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤

But behind every ā€œeffortlessā€ photo is intentional light, movement, composition, and a whole lot of watching for the moment.

Pretty pictures are fun. Photos that make you feel something? That’s what I’m after. ✨

HELLOOOO 🄰🄰

I wanted these images to feel like me—warm, intentional, colorful, and a little bit nostalgic. The kind of photos that tell you something about the person behind the camera before you ever step in front of it.

So… here’s a little peek at the girl behind Fontenot Photography. šŸ¤ I love Diet Coke, iced coffee, and I would be nothing without Jesus Christ!

And of course, I have to tag the talented people who made this day so much fun:

There are some wedding days that feel less like an event and more like a little world of their own.

Holly and Kevin’s was tucked away behind the trees—a quiet little place, surrounded by green, where the day seemed to move a little slower.

It was an intimate wedding, but somehow the emotion of it all felt anything but small.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to black and white imagery because there’s a certain honesty to it. Without the distraction of color, you notice the things that matter—the way someone looks at the person they love, a hand reaching for another, laughter, tears, the stillness between moments.

And then, as if the day couldn’t have ended any more beautifully, the rain came.
They danced anyway.

Watching Holly and Kevin move through the rain, completely wrapped up in each other and entirely unconcerned with anything else, was one of those moments that stopped me in my tracks. Their joy was palpable. Their love was so evident that, for a moment, documenting it felt almost overwhelming.

This is why I love photographing weddings.

Not because of the perfectly curated details or the beautiful places, though those things have their place. But because every once in a while, you get to witness something so genuine that it reminds you why photographs matter in the first place.
Some moments are meant to be remembered exactly as they felt.
And I think these might be some of my favorites yet. šŸ–¤

Some love stories look even better in the rain. ā˜”ļøšŸ¤

Hunter & Grace didn’t let a little rain stop their Creekside at Colliers End engagement session — they embraced it like pros, and honestly, I think the rain made these moments even sweeter.

There’s something about rainy engagement photos that feels a little more romantic, a little more nostalgic, and a whole lot more real. Add a Camp Snap Eight video camera, and you’ve got the kind of memories that feel like you’re stepping right back into the moment. šŸŽžļø

So here’s your reminder: don’t reschedule just because it rains. Sometimes the unexpected moments become your favorites. šŸ¤

The last couple of months have been a little quieter over here... but definitely not because I haven't been working. šŸ¤

Behind the scenes, I've been pouring countless hours into something that's been on my heart for a long time—my website and brand. Every page, every word, every color choice, every tiny detail has been thoughtfully built by me. (And by "me," I also mean my sweet friends who have graciously listened to me overthink, vent, and talk through every idea more times than they probably signed up for. šŸ˜‚)

It's been equal parts exciting, challenging, and stretching. There were moments I wanted to throw in the towel, but seeing it all finally come together has reminded me why I started in the first place.

This isn't just a new website. It's a home for my business. A place that reflects the experience I hope every couple and family has from the moment they inquire until they receive their gallery.

I can't wait to share it with you soon. It feels like the next chapter of Fontenot Photography, and I couldn't be more excited. ✨

Thank you for being here, supporting this dream, and cheering me on through every season. The best is still ahead. šŸ¤

Grace + Hunter ✨

Some sessions don’t go according to plan… they turn into something even better.

Rain wasn’t exactly on our radar for part two of Grace and Hunter’s engagement session, but somehow it became the perfect finishing touch. Their timeless style paired beautifully with the soft rain, creating an effortless old Hollywood feel that looked like it belonged on the big screen.

We wandered the very vineyard where they’ll say ā€œI doā€ next year, shared their vision for the wedding day, explored the property, and listened to the rain fall around us. It was romantic, cinematic, and one of those evenings that reminds me why I love documenting love stories.

These are the moments that can’t be planned—the ones that become unforgettable.

If you’re dreaming of engagement photos that feel timeless, romantic, and true to your story, I’d love to create something just as meaningful for you.

And fair warning… this is only the beginning. There are so many more favorites coming, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. šŸ¤

If you’ve ever looked back on your favorite photos, I bet it wasn’t because everything went perfectly.

It was the happy tears.
The messy toddler hugs.
The wind-blown veil.
The belly laughs.
The quiet in-between moments.

✨ Kind of chic.

As photographers, we spend so much time chasing ā€œperfect,ā€ but the moments that stay with us are usually the beautifully imperfect ones.

Whether it’s your wedding day or a family session, I promise you don’t have to perform for the camera. Just love your people. I’ll take care of the rest.

šŸ’› Now I want to know…

Which one is your favorite ā€œkind of chicā€ moment?
Or tell me one that I missed! šŸ‘‡
