I look forward to Isaac’s birthday session each and every year because he never fails to show up with his great big, beautiful personality! His smile melts my heart and his laugh is so infectious. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that I’ve known his parents since they were teenagers! What a joy to watch this family grow in love over the years.

I had to emotionally prepare myself before these guys stepped out of the car yesterday because I knew it would hit me in the gut when I saw how grown the kids are! Both Isabella and Soren have been coming to the Cottage since they were babies and they are so incredibly near and dear to my heart!

Almost 18 years of photographing this precious family and this is the first time we’ve ever done it at Monte Sano state park. And what a gorgeous October day we had for it! I’ve photographed so many milestones for these kiddos over the years but this first year with a senior in the house is really hitting different. What fun it has been!

Anyone who knows Matthew knows he is authentic to his core which made it so much fun to photograph him! This is a senior who knows exactly who he is and brings his best self to every situation. I have loved watching him grow up over the last few years on the cross country and track teams at Huntsville High. The easiest and best guy to cheer for!
