Wandering through luxury homes, grazing on charcuterie and desserts, soaking in stunning interiors along the lakeshore, and spending the evening with an incredible group of women… honestly, what more could you ask for in a work event?

Last night, I had the opportunity to attend an influencer-exclusive preview of the Lakeshore Parade of Homes with HBA Lakeshore, touring two absolutely beautiful homes before the public opening. One of my favorite things about photographing interiors is seeing the collaboration between builders, designers, architects, and trades come to life—and getting the chance to hear directly from the teams about their process, inspiration, and the ideas that pushed these homes beyond the ordinary made the experience even more special.

It’s always inspiring to step inside spaces that challenge what’s possible and showcase the creativity, craftsmanship, and vision behind every detail.

Headshot mini sessions are officially back through June ✨

And honestly? They’ve become one of my favorite things to photograph.

There’s something really special about helping people feel like themselves in front of the camera — not overly posed, not stiff, not corporate in the cold sterile way we’ve all come to expect from “professional photos.” Just approachable, confident, human.

Whether you’re updating LinkedIn, launching a business, refreshing your website, speaking at events, applying for something new, or simply realizing your current headshot is from approximately 14 lifetimes ago… this is your sign.

There’s something incredibly vulnerable about telling your story out loud.

For nearly 20 years, photography has been woven into the fabric of my life — through motherhood, survival, creativity, burnout, rebuilding, growth, and finding my way back to myself over and over again. It started simply as a way to slow the world down enough for me to understand it. Somehow, over time, it became this entire life and career I deeply love.

Recently, I had the honor of being featured by Voyage Michigan and getting to share more about the path behind The MittenTog, my experience navigating creativity and entrepreneurship, and how my late autism diagnosis reshaped the way I understand both myself and my work.

One thing I said in the article that still sits with me:“It’s not just about capturing what something looks like — it’s about honoring how it feels to be in that moment or space.”

And I think that’s always been the heart of it for me.

To every family, artist, designer, business owner, senior, couple, friend, and human who has stepped in front of my camera over the years — thank you. Truly. You’ve allowed me to build a career rooted in connection and trust, and I don’t take that lightly.
