Tiberius Images Business owner, photographer and professional adventure seeker based in the High-Five state! Rebecca and I met in high school, but didn’t date until college.

We are a husband and wife Grand Rapids photography team with a unique approach to photography and a interesting background that led us into the industry. We were married in the middle of our junior year at college. Following our wedding, we took 6 months and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain where we traveled throughout Europe. We discovered we are intrigued by history, world culture, politics and t

he principles of courage, honor and leadership. So what could I do to record the history of the lives that were passing in front of me? I picked up my camera in 2004. In 2009 Rebecca left her job to assist me in the day to day operations. Together, Rebecca and I have committed to travel the world, meet interesting people, live everyday to its fullest and take beautiful photographs. We want to tell your story. We guarantee a combination of technical talent, handcrafted artistry and easy going personality traits. FYI About Russ & Rebecca:
We are crazy about marriage! Our favorites books include: The Five Love Languages, The Five Languages of Apology and DNA of Relationshsips. A list of our out of ordinary experiences include: sky diving, mountain horse back riding, helicopter rides, Nascar driving, dog sledding, swimming with sharks & flight lessons.

At first glance this looks like a simple recap photo from an event. A full room, a panel on stage, strong lighting, big screens doing what they are supposed to do.

But this kind of image carries more weight than people realize.

You can see the scale of the room and the level of engagement. You can tell this was not an empty exercise or a quiet conversation. People showed up, paid attention and were part of something that mattered.

When photos like this are delivered while the event is still unfolding or the same day it wraps, they start working immediately. Attendees share them, speakers use them and sponsors repost them.

The story spreads while the energy is still real, not weeks later when the moment has passed.

That momentum is what makes the difference.

A single image can help sell future sponsorships, support speaker credibility and give attendees something they are proud to post. Over time it becomes part of a content library that supports sales conversations, proposals, recruiting and follow up long after the room is cleared.

Some clients want their events documented clearly and professionally. And that still matters. Capturing what happened, who was there and how it all came together is part of doing the job well.

The difference is when those same images are also created with intention and delivered fast enough to be useful beyond the recap.

That is when documentation turns into something more. It supports follow up conversations, extends the life of the event and gives your audience a way to keep the story moving while the experience is still fresh.

How are you using your event images once the room is empty and the lights are off?

A recent email exchange with a friend drifted into philosophy and it all started with a simple question about business.

"What problem are you actually trying to solve for?"

That line stuck with me because so many people are not solving for the end. They are just busy refining tactics and calling it progress.

It reminded me of a few pieces of content that have shaped how I think about work, learning and systems over the years.

Different formats during different seasons of life and I realized you may like them as well.

You also may disagree with them as well.

It also brought to mind a quote from Muhammad Ali.

“The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses, behind the lines in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under the lights.”

And since becoming a dad, I keep coming back to the idea of playing the "infinite game" that Simon Sinek introduced me to. Not playing to win but playing to play, because that is the game. .

Which raises an uncomfortable but clarifying question.

Am I doing this for me and my family? Or am I doing it so someone notices. And if they do not (you do not), am I still okay doing the work?

I am linking the three pieces below in case you are interested in exploring the thinking behind this.

Great photography works hard for your business.

The photos you already have can do more than sit in a folder.
They can attract clients, build trust, and show the human side of your brand.

Here are three simple ways to start using them more strategically:

1️⃣ Showcase your skills.
Every project, event, or portrait session is a chance to show what you do best.
Think of your photos as your visual portfolio, proof of your craft, your team, and your professionalism in action.

2️⃣ Expand your reach.
Social platforms are your modern shop window.
Share behind-the-scenes shots, tag clients and partners, use thoughtful hashtags, and you’ll reach audiences you didn’t even know were watching.

3️⃣ Build emotion and connection.
A single image can tell a story.
A curated series can tell your story.
When people can feel the atmosphere of what you do - the warmth, the detail, the energy - they start to imagine themselves working with you.

In business, sharing your photos isn’t just creative, it’s strategic.
Because every image you put out there builds recognition, credibility, and connection.

So don’t let your visuals gather dust.
Show the world what you do best, and let your images keep doing the talking long after the camera’s packed away.

Speed doesn’t happen by accident.
It comes from knowing the goal and adapting everything else around it.

Before we arrived at Impact Fab Inc, we got clear on one thing with their team at 1 Bold Step: the final outcome should be a strong, story-driven video supported by great images.to define exactly what success looked like.

We had a general idea of what would happen on the day, but we didn’t yet know the order of the day or who would be in each scene.

And that was fine.
The shoot was built to be flexible, not rigid.

We adjusted in real time, capturing video as the main priority, and pulling stills naturally throughout the day as the moments unfolded.

Employees stepped in when needed, got quick direction, and went right back to what they were doing.
The production didn’t interrupt the workday, it worked with it.

That’s what efficient storytelling looks like.
One day.
A fluid plan.
Content that feels natural, not staged, and powerful enough to use across marketing.

If you’ve been putting off a professional shoot because you’re worried it’ll slow things down, it doesn’t have to.

With the right team, you can move fast, stay flexible, and still get the quality your brand deserves.

The best compliment we can get at an event?
“I didn’t even notice you were there.”

That’s when we know we’re doing it right.

Because the moment people forget the camera, real life starts to unfold:
- The laughter between colleagues.
- The proud glance before someone takes the stage.
- The applause that feels bigger than the room.

That’s what we aim to capture, the energy you can’t pose for.

Our job isn’t to interrupt the moment.
It’s to protect it.
To notice the small things most people miss and turn them into the memories you’ll remember most.

When the photos feel natural, warm, and alive, that’s when the storytelling works.
Because people don’t remember the camera, they remember the feeling.

That’s the kind of photography we believe in.

When your brand shows up consistently, people notice.
They may not say it out loud, but they feel it, in the color, the tone, the emotion of every image they see.

That kind of recognition doesn’t happen by accident.
It comes from working with a photographer who truly understands your brand:
- how you move
- how you work
- what you want people to feel.

Over time, that shared rhythm builds something powerful:

- Photos that always look like you
- Visuals that flow seamlessly from one project to the next
- A story that grows, instead of starting over each time

At Tiberius Images, we see ourselves as long-term creative partners.
Because when you find the right rhythm together, every photo strengthens your story, not just for today, but for everything still to come.

Consistency builds trust.
And trust builds brands that last.

The best photos don’t just look good.
They work hard.

They help people understand who you are before they meet you.
They make your brand feel credible, human, and worth remembering.

That’s why the right photographer does more than take pictures.
They translate your story into visuals that actually connect.

Great photography is about:

- Understanding your brand - what you stand for, who you serve, and how you want to be seen.
- Capturing your personality - not just your pose, but your energy and professionalism.
- Building trust - so when someone finds you online, they instantly feel confident reaching out.

It’s easy to think photography is just a cost.
But the right images become assets, the kind that open doors, attract opportunity, and build loyalty.

When you invest in visuals that match your brand’s value, you don’t just look professional.
You become unforgettable.

The shoot’s done. The gallery link hits your inbox.
You click through the photos, and love them.

Then comes the question we hear all the time:
“What do I actually do with these now?”

Here’s how to make sure your photos stay safe, accessible, and useful for years to come:

1️⃣ Organize your photos.
Create a main PHOTO folder on your computer.
Inside, add dated folders for each event, shoot, or campaign.
When your system makes sense, you’ll actually use it, and never have to hunt for “that one great headshot” again.

2️⃣ Download right away.
Our photo links stay live for 60 days.
Download the ZIP file, extract it, and save it into your folder system.
Don’t wait until the reminder email.

3️⃣ Back it up twice.
Once to the cloud (Amazon Photos, Google Drive, Dropbox, take your pick).
Once to a physical drive.
If your laptop dies tomorrow, your visuals shouldn’t go with it.

4️⃣ Never overwrite your originals.
If you crop or resize a photo for media use or Canva, save a new version.
Rename it with something simple, “_web”, “_social”, or “_resized”.
That keeps your master files safe and ready for future use.

Good photography is an investment, protect it like one.
Your photos tell the ongoing story of your brand, your people, and your progress.
Treat them like the assets they are.

Most people think event photography is just about smiles.
But real storytelling lives in everything that happens around them.

The space that sets the mood.
The subtle touches that make it personal.
The unplanned laughter that reminds you why everyone came together in the first place.

At Tiberius Images, that’s what we look for.
We start with the scene, the venue, the atmosphere, the details that make it yours.
Then we follow the story as it unfolds, the handshakes, the glances, the energy that connects a room.

Every photo should carry warmth, intimacy, and humanity, so that when you look back, you don’t just see a day… you relive it.

That’s our promise.
To capture not just moments, but memories that stay alive long after the lights go down.

Ever take a photo and think, “It just doesn’t capture how it felt”?
Chances are, the problem isn’t the subject, it’s the frame.

Horizontal photos have a kind of quiet power.
They don’t just show the moment, they unfold it.

Our eyes naturally scan the world side to side.
That’s why horizontal compositions feel more cinematic, more immersive, more true to how we actually see.

They give you room to breathe.
To capture not just a person, but their world, the background, the context, the energy happening all around them.

Think of a group photo that shows real connection:
the shy smiles between new teammates, the laughter that fills the space between friends.
That’s the magic of width, it tells the whole story.

Sure, vertical photos rule social feeds. They’re built for quick scrolls and short attention spans.
But the stories that last? The ones that live on your walls, your website, your brand — they need space to breathe.

At Tiberius Images, that’s what we love capturing:
the expanse, the energy, the emotion, the full scene that makes your story worth remembering.

So next time you pick up your camera or book a shoot, try thinking wide.
Because sometimes, the bigger picture really does say more.

Most businesses don’t lose deals because of bad service.
They lose them quietly, because they still look like 2012 online.

Outdated photos are one of the simplest ways a brand starts to drift out of focus.
It happens slowly.
You stop noticing the changes, but your prospects do.

Then comes the familiar line:

“We’ve got photos from a few years ago. They’re fine.”

And sure, the business might still be running. Referrals are steady. Nothing feels broken.
But “fine” doesn’t sell the future.

That old headshot doesn’t look like you anymore.
That team photo with three people who’ve left? It’s telling a story that’s out of date.

No one will tell you that. They’ll just move on.
You’ll never even know you were being compared.

“Good enough” is a quiet brand killer, it doesn’t fail overnight, it fades over time.
The fix is simple: show people who you are now, not who you were then.
