I am very excited to announce that one of my images has made it into the Top Finalists for the International Photographic Competition. The final judging will take place in January at ImagingUSA, so I can't share the image yet.

Well today was the day. And it was a little bittersweet. I turned over the keys to the lease of my retail studio space, something I have had for almost 25 years now, in one location or another. No, I am not quitting or going out of business, in case you haven't been following my infrequent updates about what has been going on. In fact I am taking AGL Photography in a whole new direction. Starting in the new year (hopefully by the end of January at the latest), we will be completely mobile! That's right...I will be able to bring the studio right to you!!!

Whether you are still looking for that entirely unique pet portrait, a family portrait that might include the family pet, a highly sought after "Legacy Session", or even if your company needs business head shots, but it's too difficult to try and get everyone to schedule a day to get theirs done, AGL Photography will be able to come directly to you. I can set up and be ready for consultations, sessions, pre-views, sales appointments and more, right at your doorstep! You don't even have to leave the comfort of your driveway! As most of you are aware, I was getting ready to make a huge announcement about some exciting news for the direction of AGL Photography this past summer. Many of you are also aware that at the end of August my son was in a life threatening car accident, and I spent an entire month in the hospital with him at his bedside, both in ICU and in inpatient rehab. Which required me to take a small hiatus from the business, including working on the project for which the announcement was for. Now that we are doing therapy on an outpatient basis, and my storefront studio lease will be up on December 1st, it is time to make the official announcement.

AGL Photography is MOVING!!! But when I say we are moving, I mean that AGL Photography is literally GOING MOBILE! Due to the small hiatus, the mobile studio build is not complete, and I had hoped to bring everyone along for the adventure, but here are some of the photos from the beginning of the build. Electrical and the ceiling were completed, and we did the insulation of the walls, and completed most of the floor insulation. Still a ways to go, but I will try to bring you along for the new stages as we go.

So I recently posted that AGL Photography was going to be sharing some exciting news this summer and some big things are coming. Well, we are almost ready to share...in fact we will be sharing several weeks earlier than anticipated...but not today! Sorry...LOL! But you will definitely want to stick around and stay tuned. In the meantime I thought I'd share a couple of images from a recent event I was able to attend that was hosted by the Professional Photographers of Ohio Association at the Ohio State Penitentiary where Shawshank Redemption and a handful of other movies were filmed. I was able to bring my husband Troy as my assistant and my son JT as my model so that they could tour the prison as well. So I'm posting just a few of the images we took while there. We definitely took lots more and I will share more as I have time to edit them. For now, enjoy these and keep following for more exciting news to come!
