Glendhu Beach, 1933

One of my favourite prints from the Viewfinder series, and one of the first prints I produced for the project. This shot took months to replicate and fine tune, including a lot of wading around with a camera in front of tourists to nail the exact location I needed.

Trying to replicate every aspect of a photograph, from time of day to weather conditions and even the right focal length is definitely an exercise in patience, but hey, I think it looks neat.

It's been awesome to listen to the conversations that people have around these prints at exhibitions, and there are plenty more in the works now that winter is coming!

My bestselling print from the Viewfinder series, this shot of Glendhu Bay was featured in the Auckland Weekly News on March 1st, 1933. This particular shot took a - lot - of attempts to get everything lined up correctly. It's also one of the very first prints I produced for the series back in 2021!

Another print from my Viewfinder series, this features the First Church of Otago in Dunedin, photographed by commercial photographer John Morris (1854-1919) circa 1900. One of my personal favourites from the series.

I produced this Viewfinder print of the TSS Earnslaw for my exhibition in November, and I think it's one of the best I've done to date. It was awesome to be able to display this in the Steamer Wharf right beside where this shot was taken from over 100 years ago!
