Introducing The content Engine.

A series of in person workshops and online modules aiming to help business owners in Queenstown and beyond who want to take control of their visual content, but may only be limited to using their smartphones.

Through short and targeted workshops and online modules, I aim to help build your “camera confidence” and develop your “camera muscles,” so that if you are the person put in charge of content for your business, then you will know exactly how to take out your phone and confidently capture content to share it with the world.

Thanks to Noel Leeming NZ, you will also be able to test out brand new demo gear to make your content that much better!

Sound like you or someone you know?

2 in person workshops August 5 & 12th

12 spots. Hosted in Queenstown.

Come along and develop your smartphone skills together with us!

Postponed to 2027**

After a lot of waiting and wondering, I’ve decided to postpone my 7 day Adventure Sports Photography Workshop until 2027.

To those of you that signed up and showed interest, thank you!

Rather than rushing to get something out there, I want this experience to be genuinely useful, properly planned and supported, and true to what I originally wanted to be: a unique and genuinely useful experience where people can learn what it’s really like to train and develop skills as an adventure sports photographer.

So for now, the bigger 7 day Queenstown/Wanaka workshop will be moved to next year to allow enough time for me to secure the right permits, and until then I will be putting out smaller workshops and education sessions across the region so we can get together and learn the basic skills. So look out for those!

Thanks again to everyone who showed interest so far.

This workshop is still very much happening, we will just have to wait for next year to see it through! 😁

Content Engine Series Update***

Due to some scheduling changes, we decided to condense the Content Engine series from 4 weekly sessions to 2 slightly longer ones. August 7th and 14th.

Same great course content, just a bit more time each day to have practical time on the tools, and then get back to your busy work lives!

Whether you are a solo operator in Queenstown, part of a marketing team, or just the person put in charge of making content for your business….come along and learn about smartphone camera fundamentals, and get to test out heaps of brand new demo gear from Noel Leeming

Walk away from the series with a free Belkin Creator Kit (valued at $199) and a sense of feeling “camera confident…,” ready to approach content creation through a new lens!

Interested or know someone who might be? Send them this post or sign up with the link in my bio!

Manifesting some future winter brand work with and or 😁🙌😎

This spec shoot at the end of last winter doubled as my lovely Fiancé Laura’s headshots for her portfolio.

It really helps to have such a beautiful trail so close to where we live…and of course a lovely model to put up with all of my photography antics 🙌😁

I appreciate you !🤪

After we did the shoot, we both looked at the shots and thought to ourselves…”hmmm, these would make great advertisements!”

What do you reckon ? 😁🤔💪

Can you tell I’m excited? 🤪

Grateful to be included in this great exhibition of local Queenstown creative talent, put on by .

Such a great turnout and awesome to learn from the other creatives on opening night.

As an evolving artist capturing different things all the time…it’s always hard to decide what to share in this particular moment in time, in my creative life.

As my skills and brand have evolved, I realise I wanted to be able to showcase something that shares the essence of everything I capture, all in one.

I have always loved action and adventure sports and the intensity of what you can capture, but my constant theme through all my work is focusing on the “human connection.”

This photo was taken at the 2022 Crankworx Rotorua Rockshox DH race, and was lucky to win a special merit award in the Urban & Extreme Sports category at the 2023 .

I called it Play n’ Spray.

This image feels to me like it captured everything I love about the human experience within adventure sports.
A bit of unfiltered chaos 😅and just pure human energy…even if it was hosing down with rain.

A few photographer friends in the mtb scene would remember that day fondly…soaked to the bone…sloppy racing…cameras in rice bowls…but so worth it for some once in a lifetime shots.

I love this picture and want to keep sharing it with the world. Right now it’s up for sale for the first time ever.

A3, dark oak wooden frame. DM me for pricing, or visit the gallery and purchase direct from there. It’s the only A3 print available right now, but can print more on request.

y favourite season has arrived in NZ❄️🏔️

Looking back on a bunch of snow memories both recent and far…I am a northern hemisphere winter baby (November) and love the snow.

I’m so grateful that I get to make a living working in the snow, and these photos and video clips are a nice window into some of the work I’ve been able to do over the years.

Not sure what’s ahead for me project wise just yet because the snow has been so delayed here in Queenstown…but super excited to get back out there and get some laps in!

Who’s down for some shoots or just party laps? 😁🏂

“If you have an idea, you never know what it could turn into…”

My 2nd festival win in just 3 years…this time for my new film, Greensteam: More Than A Movement.

This time, I won the (not) Making An Impact Award for sharing the growth of the Greensteam Movement over the last couple of years.

I originally set out to share a film about an epic adventure day out , and it ballooned into this incredible social movement helping people advocate for new ways to get themselves to ski fields across New Zealand.

So I had to come back and share the story of that growth, and what the idea has morphed into as people try it out for themselves, battling local politics with a little positive activism.

Sometimes…you just have to put your idea out into the world and see what happens, right?

In my case, I was a beginner filmmaker for the first Greensteam film, and I chose to just try it out and see what could happen, not thinking it would gain as much traction as it did…and to know that someone out there in the world thought to themselves…”hmm, I could do that!” And joined in to the cause, creating their own version of the Greensteam…was epic to say the least!

What a privilege to know that the film I created left such a big impact on someone!

I started my adventure filmmaking career at the NZ Mountain Film Festival 5 day program in 2023…and never would have guessed I would have 2 films win awards there.

if I can do it as a teacher and self taught photographer / filmmaker…so can you!

Thanks to everyone for their support on this particular film, I couldn’t have done it without my crew, talent and sponsors backing the project.

And .nz for their support

A great example of capturing the human connection, this time across junior sports.

This is a clip from my larger HERO video for the Global Games and their first ever Queenstown International Football Cup.
