A shot from Reef beach on the Isle of Lewis early this year. I had been following the tide out looking for opportunities but neither the sea nor the sky were playing ball and I decided to walk back to the dunes. Well I’ve just printed off this pic for a customer of the wreck at Corpach. Visited it for the first time recently and was very lucky.
Arrived just as the sun was setting so we really only had a few minutes to get a pic. Ben Nevis was hiding behind the rain clouds so we weren’t expecting much when suddenly BOOM. Last of the setting sun behind us lighting up the ship, rain clouds in front and a billy bonus rainbow starting.

Here’s one for you … when the weather is such that the natural colours are subdued to almost monotones but still keeping the underlying emerald of the sea. Does it still work? I invariably keep my colour version but would be interested to hear what other people think? Here’s 2 versions of a shot taken on my last workshop on Islay.
