I've been incredibly humbled this week.

One of the organisations I shoot for felt they wanted to send me an award for the work I do! It's taken me a few days to find the words such has been the surprise at receiving this award.

The award is more than the quality of what I do, it's also about how I do it.

The Charity PMSF UK was set up to support children diagnosed with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome and their wider families. This rare condition has a wide range of impacts and challenges and support is vital to help both the child and also their family.

As a parent to a child with some complex additional needs I'm well placed to understand a little of their families experience. This informs how I work and this is what has been so generously recognised by the charity.

My huge thanks to them for such an unexpected surprise this week.

A great new client and one I'll be working with fairly frequently moving forward. From brief, planning meeting through to shoot day everything came together really well. And I have to thank Ian, the owner, for lunch and plying me with coffee!

Having worked in education in a past life it was good to reconnect a little with the education sector once again.

The last couple of weeks have been mainly about head shots. It's been great to work with some local businesses and the people within them to 'up' their images. I'm a strong believer and advocate that the images you use communicate about lot about who you are and what you do as a business.

Headshot/portrait set. When thinking about your own or your teams photos it's important to consider what they communicate about you and your business or activity. Good headshots should say something about you and help the viewer understand something of the kind of person you are.

Never underestimate the importance of good headshots and portraits.

Happy New Year to all of my clients New and old.

Thank you for being a big part of another successful year for me and my work and I'm looking forward to a great 2026 working with you.

Here is just a small look at some of what I've been up to over the last 12 months. As I reflect back it's been a year of real growth, both with the business of getting new clients and shoots but also stretching out to shoot a wider variety of projects for my clients.

Some recent images from a morning with one of my clients where we photographed a number of different products from the extensive Porsche lifestyle range for use across social media and a magazine feature.
