I feel emotional writing this as Sarah Maria Photography has been my baby for so many years and you are the people who have helped me to grow in ways I could only have dreamt of when I went full time with photography 5/6 years ago!
Don't panic, I'm not going anywhere (far) and my business isn't closing down. It's just going to be slowing down for the next couple of years whilst I split my time between the UK and Germany.
Our family has been given an amazing opportunity due to my husbands job but that does mean I have had to make sacrifices 😭
When he first got the job I said I wasn't moving (even though him applying was my idea on a very drunken night out last year🤣) I was going to let him leave us all for 2.5 years and work in Germany because the thought of such a huge change scared me, plus I had so many commitments here in the UK already, I couldn't just up and leave!
As the weeks passed the thought of being apart for so long made me realise that I was being a bit silly and of course I should try and make it work! I reached out to all the couples that would be affected by the move and you were all absolutely amazing.
You all supported me even if it meant I couldn't be your wedding photographer anymore. THANK YOU for making such hard conversations that little bit easier.
The big move is happening at the end of September so if you have a voucher you want to use or book me in for a session before I leave you can.
There's no rush though if you are struggling to fit a time in before then as I will extend all voucher dates up until the end of 2022 as I will be back in the UK for 5 months next year so plenty of time for us to make some memories.
Same for pre wedding sessions! We can either do them super soon or wait until next spring!
I'll pop updates on social media of where I am and when to hopefully make it easy for you all to get booked in. 😁
