Hi! (and thankyou) to all my new followers!
I would like to tell you all a little bit about me and what I do.
I'm a professional photographer based in Launceston, Tasmania. Born and bred here, I left for bigger things on the mainland in 1996 and returned back to my home state only in January last year. Nearly 30 years away!
For the past 24 years, I lived on the beautiful Gold Coast, where I ran my photography business full-time from 2012.
After working in the photographic industry since I was 18 ( as a darkroom assistant, printer, pixifoto Tasmanian rep, photographer's assistant, minilab assistant, camera salesperson ....) I finally took the leap into running my own business after winning Camera House Photographer of the year in 2012
I established myself primarily as a wedding | portrait | event photographer on the Gold Coast, with an amazing following and many repeat clients. I worked alongside some beautiful and talented photographers who I learnt so much from (and really miss, since moving back to Tassie!)
I also had an awesome home studio where my clients came to view and order their images.
I photographed hundreds and hundreds of weddings and family portraits. I met and photographed many celebrities, and was thrilled to see my work published in magazines, brochures and book covers!
I also photographed countless formal and graduation dinners on the Gold Coast....big nights, but lots of fun!
I travelled to India, and held an exhibition at my local Gold Coast cafe of my favourite images from this unforgettable trip.
I also worked for many years with RSPCA and Qld Staffy & Amstaff Rescue photographing dogs to raise much needed funds for these beautiful animals. I rescued my own fur baby (AVA) along the way. Santa Paws on the beach was always a highlight of the year!
Now back in Tassie for a while, I am loving getting to know my home state again. I'm constantly looking for new places to shoot family portrait sessions, and have already photographed some gorgeous country weddings in some amazing locations.
I've also photographed events in some locations with to die for scenery and heritage listed buildings (which I love!)
My main passion now is capturing families and kids with a natural style of photography which ensures everyone is relaxed and having fun.
My photography sessions for families take place any day of the week, mostly at the end of the day before sunset.
I also love photographing website content (headshots, products, business content) and am willing to travel to you. If you have an idea, I will strive to make it happen!
