Most buyers don’t remember square footage, they remember how a space made them feel.

That’s the gap between a listing photo and an editorial photo:
🏠 A listing photo shows the room
🤍 An editorial photo makes people feel a certain way

If your photography is only doing the first job, you’re leaving your build’s actual value on the table - and competing on price instead of on the experience you built.

🔍 3 ways builders accidentally undersell their work (and how your photos affect how your builds are perceived):

1. Using photography built for speed, when your homes were built with intention.

Some photography is created to quickly communicate a space - the layout, the size, and how the rooms connect.

But luxury builders aren’t just selling a home’s floor plan. They’re showcasing the details that make their work unique: the material choices, the craftsmanship, the precision of the finishes, and the countless decisions made throughout the build.

When your photography focuses only on documenting the space, it can miss the very details that set your work apart.

2. Documenting every stage of the build, but missing the finished home at its most impactful.

Behind-the-scenes content is valuable. The progress shots, the trades on site, and the details coming together help people connect with your process.

But your customers also need to see the final product.

The completed home. The finished spaces. The way every design decision comes together once the project is complete.

Because that’s what they’re ultimately investing in.

3. Relying on quick iPhone photos, when you’re trying to sell premium.

iPhone content definitely has its place! It feels authentic, approachable, and gives people a glimpse behind the scenes of your business.

But when your goal is to attract high-end clients, your feed also needs to reflect the level of work you want to be hired for.

If the majority of your content feels casual and unpolished, it can unintentionally send a signal of “average” - even when the homes you create are anything but.

💬 Tell us: what’s your biggest challenge when it comes to capturing finished projects?
