Because the best photos don’t come from perfect poses. They come from energy, laughter and those split-second moments where you forget the camera is even there.

If you’ve been in front of my lens, you already know I’ll guide you the whole way… but I’ll also get you doing things that may feel a little silly at the time. Like doing your best Donald Duck impression right into your partner’s ear mid-cuddle.

Second pregnancies hit different.

You’re chasing a toddler, your body’s working overtime and somehow the weeks just disappear.

I didn’t book maternity photos when I was pregnant with Harvey and it’s one of my biggest regrets. That version of me, that chapter of our family story, deserved to be remembered too.

I don’t think I really stopped to realise it would be my last pregnancy.

Now all I have are a few blurry photos on my phone and while I treasure them, I wish I’d given myself the chance to beautifully document this season.

The way Charlotte would sit propped up on my bump or rest her head on my belly and chat to her little brother, the way it felt to hold both of them, one in my arms, one still growing inside. The love we all had for Harvey before we even had met him.

Just the three of us, before everything shifted again.

Because those in-between seasons?

They matter just as much. 🤎

If you’ve got little kids and you’ve been dreaming of sunset family photos, this one’s for you 🤎

My biggest tip? Book your session for autumn or winter.

Those golden hour sessions start around 4–4:30pm, which means everyone’s happier, fewer overtired meltdowns, we’re not playing roulette with witching-hour and you’re home in time for dinner, bath and bed.

Plus…

The light? Dreamy.

The temps? Comfortable.

The mozzies? Don’t know them.

It’s honestly the best time of year for photos with young kids and when I personally book our own family photos too.
