Maybe this coastal brown (grizzly) cub was trying to hide while scratching, or just posing for us. Either way it was a great day as we saw 3 different momma bears with 2 cubs each on this day.

We saw this coyote enter and exit a river otter’s den on the edge of the Yellowstone River this past winter. We were not sure if the otters were in the den at the time but we waited to see who’d come out first. We saw a river otter store fish in the den the day prior. She came out empty handed this time.
