Until this year I had never seen a badger in the wild and I still wouldn’t have if it weren’t for my sister-in-law! I was oblivious but noticed this badger while walking back to the car after skipping rocks on Lake Jackson! I was super excited! Thank goodness for Taylor paying attention to her surroundings! 😂

Love seeing elk! This one was from a hike in ! RMNP is teaming with elk. By far one of the easiest places to find them! The elk rut is exciting with all the bulls running around and bugling but I also find a lot of joy in seeing cows! This one is the April feature for my calendar!

I love photographing elk, bison, moose and bears but you might not realize that I get just as excited when I find the smaller things as well! I continually find myself amazed with the camouflage of these birds! Walking through the woods, you’d almost miss them!

Big horn sheep are arguably one of the coolest animals to find. I remember falling in love with them when I was a kid! So, finding some in the Rockies was really special but they were all pretty far away and you had to use binoculars to see them. However, a few years ago, I was in the and a big group of rams were right along the road side. I was beyond excited to see them! Not only that, they crossed over the road and went up onto Millers Butte. I watched as they ran all over the place and butted heads quite a few times. It was an incredible moment and I will remember it forever!

Special memories from Iceland. Was driving back to my and happened upon a flock of arctic tern. This one posed for me and I took WAY too many pictures of him. Really appreciated it though!
