Wilmington’s house music scene has been on such a rise!

For years, I feel like Wilmington nights revolved around the same sounds. Lately though, house music has been finding its place here not because it’s trendy, but because people are genuinely showing up for it.

This weekend was more proof.

I had the opportunity to capture HIGHPROOF and the energy really really felt different. No one was worried about being seen. People came to dance, connect, and lose themselves in the music for a few hours. That’s what a good dance floor is supposed to feel like.

Big respect to HIGHPROOF , Jahmai McKenzie , Jackson Cooper , spencer curtiss and everyone building something authentic for Wilmington’s growing house music community.

If you missed this one, they’ve already got the next one lined up.
