When these two first reached out, they hadn’t even picked out a venue yet. They actually found us through an old blog post we wrote, so we jumped on a few calls to help them brainstorm ideas and backgrounds throughout Santa Barbara that would fit their vision.

Once they toured our recommendations and picked their ceremony spot, they left the rest of the location scouting up to us. We suggested the historic Santa Barbara County Courthouse for their pre-ceremony photos because it has a little bit of everything—dramatic architecture, moody indoor hallways, and huge lush gardens all in one spot. It made for the perfect location to share their intimate first look, explore the gardens, and then smoothly bring in their family and their adorable puppy for photos.

If you are just starting the planning process and feeling stuck on locations, finding spots with this much variety is the ultimate hack for a relaxed timeline.

Safe to say, this day was a massive win for everyone involved (especially their puppy who was so grateful to be included🥰)

Between the stunning mountain views, a dreamy sunset, and the sweetest, most perfect newborn baby girl, this Ventura session was an absolute dream.

Honestly, I could have spent hours capturing the way these two look at each other. It made it even more magical knowing that he had secretly arranged for their family members to travel in from all over to surprise her on the beach right after the proposal 🩵

Still completely floating from this sweet weekend down in Laguna. There is something so incredibly peaceful about the sound of crashing waves right when everything else goes quiet.

We helped coordinate this dreamy beach picnic setup with the talented crew at Santa Barbara Picnics • The Picnic Place, and I even drove the florals down to help set up the spot before they arrived. Being hands-on with those little details to make the moment extra special for our couples is honestly one of my favorite parts of the job.

Watching the whole surprise unfold from the initial shock to the easiest yes was absolutely cinematic. Make sure you swipe through to the end of the carousel to watch the video clips of the waves rolling in - it completely captures how magical the coast felt right in that moment.

We are still completely obsessed with this Ojai meadow sunset session, but honestly, we have to talk about the real star of the show... Franklin! 🐶

Before you bring a human baby into the world, your fur baby is truly your firstborn. Franklin was so incredibly in tune with the energy of the evening, staying glued to mama’s side the entire time. He even wore a little hat that says “Howdy Darlin’” - proudly welcoming his new little sister, Darlin’, into the world! 🥹 Look out for that sweet moment as you swipe through the carousel.

For the rest of the gallery, we leaned into a really fun, nostalgic mood with tons of artsy framing choices and intentional motion blur shots to deliver on the couple’s unique creative vision. It was the absolute perfect way to spend a dreamy golden hour up in the mountains.
