A rare sighting of the photographer actually being photographed. 😂📸
It's been a while since I've introduced myself around here, so hi! I'm Judy, the gal behind Judy Ann Photography.
I'm a photographer based in the Lowcountry, and while I photograph a little bit of everything, working with small businesses and entrepreneurs has become one of my absolute favorite things.
There's just something really special about getting to know the people behind a business. Hearing how they got started, what keeps them going, and what they're dreaming up next. I love the creative process of taking all those little pieces of someone's personality and story and turning them into images that actually feel like them. And getting to cheer them on along the way? Even better.
A few things about me outside of photography:
I'm a wife and mama to one pretty incredible little girl.
I've always been drawn to creative expression, especially when it comes to personal style. I love art, interesting textures, romantic details, and just about anything with a darker edge. Conveniently, photographers are usually expected to wear black to events, which works out beautifully considering approximately 90% of my wardrobe looks like I'm perpetually attending a funeral. 😂
Coffee is practically a personality trait at this point.
📚 Give me a dark, atmospheric book with a little folklore and I'll happily disappear for a few days.
I am an animal person. I have two dogs and a cat and a bathroom spider.
I love thrifting and giving forgotten things a second life. I'm also convinced every thrift store has at least one treasure waiting for me.
I'm equal parts creative, sentimental, and a little weird (in the best way, obviously).
More than anything, I'm genuinely grateful that this little business of mine allows me to meet so many wonderful people, tell their stories, and be part of things that matter to them.
So whether you've been here for years or just stumbled across my page, I'm really glad you're here. 🖤
And if you're a fellow small business owner, tell me what you do! I always love discovering and supporting other local creatives and entrepreneurs.
