I’m still alive y’all 😭. Just taking a much needed break and step back from photography, as the burnout is real. I’m sure all my entrepreneur friends can attest to the struggle and toll on your mental health running a business can be, and not to mention with the pandemic it’s been quite an adventurous couple of years. ANYWAY, sharing this beautiful wedding from Del Mar that I shot a a couple weeks ago. It was a breath taking day. Leah reached out to me from a group we’re both in ( ❤️) and during our consultation I just felt this connection with her, turns out we have so much in common, from our Zodiac sign, (Capricorn’s WYA) to having lived in North Carolina. I’m honored that she chose me to capture this beautiful moment. Weddings are such a story book moment, and this one was a fairytale.

“I found a love for photographing people, and freezing those special moments in time , it has been a hard road but I feel like I’ve finally found my footing. I want people to know my brand is about inclusivity, all are welcome here, love is love and everyone deserves to have their love on display. Some lessons I’ve learned is a following doesn’t define a person, a lot of people in the photography industry, big name photographers aren’t who they say they are, their image on social media, is a facade. Being authentic goes a long way.”

I have so much I want to say about this session starting with is a motherf*cking Queen!!!!And this is why I love my job. We got the opportunity to chat before her session, shaking off some nerves (understandable, who is comfy meeting a stranger and stripping down !! ) we got to chatting about past experiences she’s had with photographers in this industry, and I truly appreciate her vulnerability,and I wanted to touch on this. If you are shooting bo***ir, it is your job as the photographer to take care of your clients. Listen to their concerns, be there for them; put the photographer aside and be a human! This doesn’t just apply to bo***ir but bo***ir is an intimate experience. If you have session from the initial consult, trust me you’re gonna think I’m crazy🤣🤣🤣. I’m there to cheer you on, to make you see the beauty in you. I get on the floor, bed, couch wherever for posing. I fix tags; bra straps, you name it. I’m there for you every step of the way to make this a comfortable and empowering experience. I want you to walk of of the studio feeling 6 feet tall, and on top of the world 💃🏾 bo***ir is for every BODY, not just bodies you see in the magazine. I’ve had cellulite since I was 13 and stretch marks on my ass for as long as I can remember; and you know what? I could truly give a s**t, and my man loved it so. 😋🤪 happy Wednesday y’all! 🥰

When I take pictures of my friends, I like to write a caption in letter form, expressing how I feel has always come easier in writing, So here it goes.🤘🏾
Laura, we’ve been through so much in just the year and a half we’ve been friends. I cherish our phone calls and laughs (your squeaky brakes, or when something is really funny you gasp for air🤣) our silly debates about Boba, and the ease that comes with talking to you about past traumas and hard times. Our midnight audio messages that probably annoy the s**t out of Cody and Will, the way Rey Lou always knows who’s on the phone and will immediately go grab a toy when she hears your voice. The way you fiercely love those babies, and the love you have for your family is such a beautiful thing to watch. I feel like I can speak for so many people in your life by saying , our lives are fuller because of you. I’m thankful for our friendship, even in hard times, we’ve cried, we’ve laughed, and I can’t imagine what it would be like to not know you, the type of friendship where we always end a conversation with “love you”, and truly mean it. ❤️

The fiery soul that inspires so many people around you. You made my time at FBCH less of a nightmare, we shared laughs, your pasta salad (which is the fu***ng best🤌🏾) and you gave me marriage advice that I will hold dear for the rest of my life. It started from the first inquiry, Sydney reached out to me early 2020 to shoot their wedding this year. We instantly clicked, she told me they had found me on the preferred vendor list for Timberlake which is truly an honor because I had no idea I was even on it, (absolutely gorgeous venue) what struck me and will stick with me forever is her telling me “we love everything you stand for”, this meant the world to me, that somebody cared about more than my photography, that people cared about my values. My brand is all inclusive, everyone is welcome, love is love, women’s rights are human rights, black lives absolutely matter, and these are non-negotiable, so if you’re still reading and don’t agree, see ya later. ✌🏾

Sydney and Justin, I have loved you both since our first meeting, I can’t thank you two enough for trusting me, the overwhelming sense of pride I felt just being a part of your special day, surrounded by the all the people you hold dear, is something I can’t even put into words.🥺❤️
These two are adventurous, absolutely hilarious, kind, beautiful inside and out, and have become my friends. I truly hope y’all let me be a part of every amazing milestone in your lives, I wish you so much happiness and love in your next great adventure, the highschool sweeties with hearts of gold ❤️

They designated me their forever photographer, and I hope I can always rise to the occasion 🥺. I’ve been waiting for the moment, I would get to see these two again, THEY ARE FREAKING ENGAGED!!!! They came to their engagement session ready to slay per usual—This wedding is going to epic; one for the books. Marz + Kim have become family, I’ve told them this but now I’m telling you, there was a point in 2019 where I considered quitting photography for good. I couldn’t handle the immense pressure of feeling like I need to keep up, and feeling like I didn’t belong. I got an inquiry from Kim, and the session I shot of the two of them relit this fire in my soul. I will be forever grateful to these two beautiful humans, for showing me it’s okay to be human, for saving me from walking away from something I truly love, I’m forever indebted to them, and to all of you, thank you for letting me be me❤️ + .voguishles I’m honored to be the chosen one, I can’t wait to cry on your big day, and I love you both beyond words.
