For some time now, I’ve been researching, exploring, and thoughtfully bringing together a new offering for the stories you entrust to me. Choosing every detail with the same care I bring to photographing your family, your love, and that beautiful season before your senior steps into what comes next.

Because my work has always been about where your photographs will live long after our evening together ends.

And just like that… the school year has begun. 🤍

The backpacks are packed. The schedules are set. Schools are back in session, and the Class of 2027 has officially stepped into their final year before everything begins to change.

There will be so many milestones between now and graduation—but your senior session is one of the few that gives you permission to slow it all down for a little while and celebrate exactly who you are in this moment.

Your style. Your personality. The places you love. The things that have shaped you. The version of you standing right here, on the edge of everything that comes next.

That’s why my Senior Session Experience is never one-size-fits-all.

There are reviews that make you smile… and then there are reviews that make you stop for a moment and remember exactly why you do this work. 🤍

This one meant so much to me.

Every person who steps in front of my camera is trusting me with something deeply personal.

For families, it’s the season they’re living right now—the little hands, the changing faces, the connection that somehow feels ordinary today and priceless later.

For seniors, it’s one of the biggest in-between chapters of their lives—a season of becoming, growing, and standing on the edge of everything that comes next.

And for their parents, it’s the privilege of holding onto who their child is right now, before senior year quietly becomes a memory.

I never take any of that trust lightly.

There’s something pretty magical about watching a senior session begin to look like you.

Not a version of you created for the camera.
Not the same photographs everyone else has.

You.

For the first half of Anna Kate’s senior session, we wandered through downtown Wilmington—starting outside a favorite used record store, finding little corners of the city along the way, and eventually bringing out the Senior Jeans she created herself. And yes…they are every bit as cool as they look. 🤍

Anna Kate is one of my Class of 2027 Senior Rep Team members, which means she gets a few extra perks throughout her year with Sage Willow—including the option to split her personal senior session between two different days and locations.

More time. More variety. And more room to create photographs that actually tell her story.

Because your senior session was never meant to be about simply collecting a handful of pretty pictures for social media.

It’s about remembering who you were in this tiny space between everything you’ve known…and everything that is waiting for you next.

The music you loved.
The clothes that felt like you.
The places you wanted to remember.
The confidence you didn’t even realize was showing.

Even a passing summer rain shower became part of the adventure yesterday—and once it moved through, we stepped right back out and kept creating until the bigger storm finally told us it was time to call it.

And just like that… it begins. ✨

For years, senior year feels like something waiting somewhere in the distance.

And then one day, you realize you’re standing right at the beginning of it.

For my Class of 2027 Senior Rep Team, that day has arrived.

There are so many things waiting for these girls between now and graduation—some they can already see coming and others they can't possibly imagine yet. So many lasts. So many firsts. And an entire year of becoming whoever they're meant to be next.

Our August adventure felt like the perfect place to mark the beginning.

But as I finished their gallery, I realized this story was about something even bigger than senior year—and something I hope every senior and every parent entering this season remembers.

Senior year is officially happening. ✨

The August Senior Rep Team gallery is finished, and tomorrow these girls get to see the whole story we created together. But tonight? One more little peek. 🌼

Because somewhere between the flowers, the sunshine, the laughter, and another evening spent together, this started to feel like more than our August shoot.

It felt like the beginning of their year.

These girls are heading back to school as SENIORS. The year they’ve been waiting for is finally here—and I can’t wait to watch them experience it together.

And if you’re watching all of this thinking, I want my senior year to feel like that too… pay attention to that feeling. 👀
