I just got home at oh-god-thirty this morning from Manitoba after my flights were delayed and rerouted due to high winds. We had a splendid time photographing tundra landscapes, wolves, and real polar bears. New photos coming soon, but in the meantime, we have scheduled a photo journey for 2028 & I encourage you to get on the wait list! This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience!

Rainforest trees often have large buttressed trunks. This adaptation lends support to the trees because their root system must necessarily be shallow in order for them to obtain nutrients from the rotting soil litter. There is a three-toed sloth on one of the buttresses of this giant Amazonian tree.
