Where is your happy place?
“I love sinking into the sofa next to my dogs with my writing and a hot mug of coffee or tea, knowing I’m exactly where I need to be.”

What is the best par of being a woman over 40?
“Over the years I’ve learned a lot about relationships and my own dynamics and patterns. I’ve done some work to help heal old wounds and try to bring that new understanding to those in my life and to the projects I work on. I think being older has given me insight, patience, and a greater ability to meet people where they are.”

Thoughts about the 40 Over 40 experience?

“Becoming a mom at 39 made turning 40 incredibly emotional and meaningful for me. Motherhood gave me a whole new sense of womanhood and created a deep shift in how I see myself and what I value in life. Around the same time, I completed my doctorate—another milestone that represented years of hard work, growth, and perseverance.

I realized that this season of my life deserved to be celebrated and documented. I wanted to capture all the different sides of who I am: a mom, a professional, a wife, a friend, and a woman who has worked hard to build a life she is proud of. But most importantly, I wanted to celebrate the person underneath all of those roles—someone I have truly come to know, accept, and love.”

Two for one for Kathy! We combined her headshot session with her 40 Over 40 session, and it was all about showing the different sides of who she is.

Yes, she’s a business owner and a coach, and that’s a huge part of her. But there’s so much more to Kathy than what she does for work.

We danced, laughed, and had so much fun during her session! Her portraits came out exactly as she hoped: authentic, joyful, and real.

Every 40 Over 40 session is different because there is no cookie-cutter version of you. This is your chance to show the different sides of your personality, your story, and what makes YOU uniquely you.

Lindsay is someone who brings people together in a very real way. She is a community builder, but not in a surface sense. She cares about truth, and she is not afraid of meaningful conversations, even when they are uncomfortable.

What I admire most is how she listens to herself. When something matters, she pauses, places her hand on her chest, closes her eyes, and really checks in before she responds. And when she speaks, it feels grounded and honest. There is no performance in it, just clarity.

When I asked what she wanted to see in her portrait, she said playfulness and lightness. I wanted to hold both sides of her in the work: her depth and seriousness, and the softer, lighter energy that is also part of her.

This is exactly what the 40 over 40 campaign is about. Showing women as they are, fully layered, and celebrating both their strength and their humanity.

What I love most about the 40 Over 40 experience is watching women reconnect with parts of themselves they’ve been too busy to see.

For ‘s session, I preselected every outfit from .go so the entire experience felt effortless and completely personal to her.
