Some sneak peeks from Madison & Aaron's wedding this past weekend at Europa in Pioneer Square in Seattle. These two seemed to have so much fun on their wedding day, which made my job easier because they were always laughing and smiling. The hard part was picking out just a small selection of photos for the sneak peek.

Shoutout to the vendor team who made this all possible:

I often tell my clients that something will go wrong at every wedding, and so once your Thing That Goes Wrong goes wrong, the rest of the day will be absolutely perfect. For these two, the rain shower that was supposed to arrive after their ceremony actually arrived about fifteen minutes before their ceremony. Luckily, they had planned ahead in case this did happen and had more than enough clear umbrellas and ponchos to go around, so everyone was able to stay mostly dry. It still led to some very fun photos, and I think they tell a much more interesting story than if it hadn't rained at all.

Of course, the rain stopped immediately when the ceremony ended, so the rest of the day really was absolutely perfect.

I feel like I say this every other post, but I feel so lucky to get to live somewhere so GREEN! I know that some photographers can be afraid of the color green and try to make it more muted or more blue to try to make it fade into the background, but I love letting it shine just the way it is πŸŒ±πŸŒ²πŸƒ There are so few places in the world with greens as vivid and luscious and prolific as the PNW, so why not embrace it?

I had so much fun wandering around all the greenery in Whatcom Falls Park with these two for their engagement session, and I can't wait to photograph their wedding later this year!

Four years ago, Susannah hired me for a maternity photoshoot at Ebey's Landing on Whidbey Island during golden hour. A year later, I got an email from her asking to do another photoshoot, this time with her now almost one-year-old daughter! Now every year in early summer I look forward to getting another email to plan our annual family shoot at Ebey's.

I've loved getting to see these two grow and change together, but it's also been fun to see how I've grown and changed as a photographer. I like to get a couple similar shots each year, and it's always interesting to compare them and see how my techniques and styles have evolved. Do you have a favorite from this set?

brought my camera with me to Capitol Hill PrideFest and 31st annual D**e March to capture some of the gay fun happening. I think my photos ended up being mostly dogs in hats, but there's also gay humans in the mix

I know you're probably doom-scrolling, or regular scrolling to avoid some feeling of impending doom, so let's all take a break to just appreciate some q***r love and q***r joy πŸ’– It's still pride month, after all!

One of my favorite parts about being a le***an wedding photographer is having lots of wonderful q***r clients who trust me to create photos of one of the happiest days of their lives. There's so much doom and despair in the news and media about being q***r, but there's still plenty of happiness to be had too. I love being able to witness that joy and share it with the world πŸ’–

Camden and Aaron's wedding last month at The Georgetown Stables was such a delight. There were so many fun moments, candids, and details that it was hard to pick just a few for a post, but I feel like these ones really captured the vibe of the reception.
