Embrace adventure; take that trip! Doing a cross-country train 🚂 trip on the Empire Builder is a new adventure for me.

It’s 2.5 days of a from Toledo to Seattle with meals and a beautiful observation car to watch the world 🌎 go by. Limited WiFi, so it encourages you to unplug and enjoy time with friends and family.

With a layover in Chicago’s Union Station you can walk to The Bean or visit the Magnificent Mile to stretch your legs.

The train can be hot or cold, so having layers is key. Would recommend a personal fan if you tend to get warm easily.

The wildest part is taking a shower on the train! You can look in the shower drain and watch the bubbles head down to the train tracks rolling by!

Make sure to put your name in for the dinner reservations in the dining car; they will seat you and you’ll meet people from all around the country & world.

Self-portraits are part of my creative process; in the past few years I’ve explored and experimented with self-portraits in the studio before photographing clients.

It’s hard to do: being the creative director, posing without being directed by another person, setting up the equipment to capture the right lighting without being able to see it through the lens.

That’s partly how my offering: This Is Me: Soulful Portraits in Black & White were born.

Seeking a way to show different sides of myself in a simple yet powerful way. A lasting legacy for my family.

Not just a mom.
Not just a communist volunteer.
Not just an entrepreneur.

Ginger Liemohn Creative offers portrait sessions in black and white. These portrait shoots are called, “This is Me: Soulful Portraits in Black and White.”

Through a series of questions and prompts, Ginger creates a relaxing, fun, and an authenticly “you” session with a simple wardrobe of black and white.

This portrait session gets back to the basics of what a photo session should be: clothes already hanging in your closet; do your hair and makeup (or not) without any fussiness; simple backdrops so your beauty shines through; and no Photoshop or AI.

Yep! You read that correctly! Other than adjusting exposure, no editing or retouching is required.

Why serve as a coffee sponsor? Several reasons:

To give back to an entrepreneurial community that was there when I needed one. I started going in Spring 2024, and after just a few meetings started to envision starting a similar supportive community in Ann Arbor. Which I did with the help of Aarash Baktash in Fall 2024!

I’m back at it for ! Day 72 with some video clips. Honestly with life, traveling, and burn 🔥 out doing reels, I kept going but was not documenting it. I was worn out. I would put on the skates 🛼 and dread doing videos. The challenge isn’t about the videos for me, but followers were wondering 💭 where I was. They want to share my journey! So I might not tape every day’s progress, but roller skating makes me happy, as a wise soul told me recently!
