Had an amazing time taking photos at the Saline football 2026 opener last Friday! The Hornets came out strong with a 39–12 win over Rockford to kick off the season. 🏈

The Saline players put together a great game from start to finish. The offense moved the ball well and found the end zone consistently, while the defense kept Rockford in check and made some big plays when they needed them. You could definitely see the energy and determination from the players all night long.

I was also impressed by the incredible support surrounding the team, from the band and cheerleaders to the dancers and all of the fans in the stands. It was a perfect evening to close out August and officially kick off the Fall school year!

It's opening day at the 90th Saline Community Fair! Today the gates will be open, the rides will be spinning, and the lights will be glowing!

It’s hard to believe this hometown tradition has been bringing the Saline community together for 90 years. From the livestock and exhibits to the carnival rides, games, food, and all the familiar faces, there’s something special about seeing our fairgrounds come alive this time of year.

Here are some photos from last year's fair. I'm hoping to make it out a few days this week to catch the fun and excitement. Maybe I'll see you there!

Some evenings, the backroads put on a pretty incredible show.

A purple evening sky, a quiet country road, and the moon hanging above the fields made this one of times where you just have to pull over and take a few photos.

You don't always have to go far to find something beautiful. Sometimes it's waiting just a few miles from home.
