"After seeing her handle a rainy wedding day, I knew she would handle any obstacles with grace and professionalism - all while capturing my big day beautifully.

My wedding was slated for summer of 2020. The visual that comes to mind right now is a missile whistling down from the sky and landing with a giant mushroom cloud explosion. Margit was kind, confident, and flexible as plans shifted and anxiety rose. She ended up photographing portraits from our elopement and then returned one year later to photograph our anniversary wedding celebration. Even a year later, nothing went to plan. Locations changed and it rained all day. I don't know how she did it, but Margit squeezed in family portraits, bridal party portraits, and our portraits between rain showers in record time. Our reception was indoors and she managed to unobtrusively and beautifully photograph the whole thing in tight quarters and poor lighting.

We're expecting our first baby this month and we're so excited to continue working with Margit to document our growing family. She is an exceptional photographer and businesswoman and I'm so glad that we found her!"

Alyssa + Nick’s day felt like a classic New England romance from beginning to end.

They chose to share their vows right by the water, with a soft breeze rolling in off the shore and sunlight gently dancing across the waves. As guests settled into their seats, there was this beautiful stillness, one of those rare moments where the world gets quiet and all you can feel is love and anticipation. When Alyssa walked down the aisle and Nick finally saw her, the emotion in his eyes said everything words couldn’t.

Their ceremony was intimate and deeply personal, framed by the coastal views and the sound of water in the background. No rush, no fuss, just two people fully present with one another, soaking in every second with their closest family and friends. It was peaceful, and heartfelt.

After “I do,” we made our way to the mansion for their reception, and it was the perfect compliment to the shoreline: sweeping staircases, grand windows, glowing light pouring into every room. Inside, the air was filled with laughter, clinking glasses, heartfelt toasts, and the kind of happy tears that come from years of shared memories and stories.

I loved slipping away with them for portraits around the property. Wandering through manicured lawns, pausing on stone steps, and twirling in quiet corners of the mansion. The combination of coastal light and old-world architecture created images that feel timeless and romantic, the kind you can already imagine printed in an heirloom album or framed on a wall for generations to come.

Alyssa + Nick, thank you for trusting me to document your beautiful day. From the calm of the water’s edge to the celebration in those elegant mansion halls, your wedding was the perfect blend of coastal serenity and classic elegance.

When couples first start planning their wedding, they often save hundreds of beautiful photographs.

The perfect dress.

The perfect flowers.

The perfect sunset.

And those photographs matter.

But years later, the images that become priceless are usually something else entirely.

The way your dad looked at you before the ceremony.

The hug from your grandmother.

The laughter you didn’t realize someone captured.

The tears during the speeches.

The moments that tell the story of how it felt to be there.

Beautiful photographs are important.

But meaningful photographs are unforgettable.

What is one photo from your life that means more to you now than it did when it was taken?

Save this if you’re trying to create a wedding that feels as beautiful as it looks 🩷

“Okay, but what is it actually like to work with you?”

From the very first email, I’m already thinking about your light, your locations, and the feeling you want your wedding day to hold. We’ll talk through what matters most to you, build a custom photo timeline, and make space for both the must‑have portraits and all the in‑between, joy‑filled moments.

On your wedding day, I’m a calm, steady presence. I’ll gently guide you into the best light, coach you into relaxed, flattering poses, and then step back so the real laughs, tears, and quiet hand squeezes can unfold naturally. We might sneak out for golden hour, chase that dreamy veil swoop, and make sure your details (florals, invitation suite, rings) are beautifully documented too.

During family formals, I work quickly and kindly so everyone feels taken care of and you can get back to celebrating. I’m watching the timeline, reading the room, and always prepared with backup gear so you never have to worry about a thing.

After the wedding, I carefully cull and hand‑edit each image for timeless color, true skin tones, and a classic look that won’t feel dated years from now. Then, together, we’ll turn your gallery into something you can hold and see every day. Albums, prints, and wall art that become part of your home and your story.

You get to be fully present. I’ll turn it all into a visual story you’ll never forget.

One of the biggest misconceptions about candid wedding photography is that the photographer never gives direction.

In reality, the opposite is often true.

Most couples tell me they feel awkward in front of a camera. That’s completely normal. My job isn’t to leave you standing there wondering what to do with your hands.

It’s to guide you just enough that you can focus on each other instead of the camera.

Some moments happen naturally.
Some moments need a little encouragement.
Some moments happen because I notice something special unfolding and know when to stay quiet.

The magic isn’t in having no direction.

The magic is in creating photographs that still feel like you.

When you look back at your wedding photos, do you want them to feel perfectly posed or genuinely remembered?

When I think about wedding photography, I don’t just think about pretty pictures. I think about presence.

I believe your wedding day should feel calm, joy-filled, and deeply *yours*. My job is to protect that atmosphere while quietly creating images that will still feel true 30 years from now. That’s why my approach is grounded in three things: gentle guidance, real emotion, and timeless, true-to-life color.

I’m not the photographer who turns your day into a photoshoot. Instead, I step in with clear direction when you need it, (helping you feel comfortable, flattering you with natural, easy posing) and then I step back, watching for the in-between moments you’ll never see happening: your mom’s hands smoothing your veil, your partner’s exhale before you walk down the aisle, the way your friends absolutely lose it on the dance floor.

You won’t be asked to perform. I’ll never force a trend that doesn’t feel like you. I want you to look at your images and say, “That’s us. That’s exactly how it felt.”

Just as important as how your day *feels* is what you’ll have left when it’s over. I’m a big believer in tangible heirlooms. Albums you can pull off the shelf on quiet Sunday mornings, prints that greet you in the hallway, framed portraits your future kids will point to and ask about. I guide my couples from the very beginning with this in mind, helping you think beyond a gallery link and into the legacy you’re creating.

If you’re planning a wedding in Mystic, Connecticut or anywhere in New England and you’re dreaming of a peaceful, present wedding day, with photographs that honor the real you and live on beyond the screen, I’d be honored to tell your story.

Tonight I’ll pack my camera bag, double check every battery, format every memory card, and review the timeline one more time.

But the most important things I bring to a wedding day don’t fit in my camera bag.

I bring a calm presence when things don’t go exactly as planned.

I bring years of experience knowing when to step in and help, and when to quietly step back and let moments unfold.

I bring the ability to make people feel comfortable enough to be themselves.

I bring an appreciation for the small moments that often become the most meaningful ones years later.

The hug from your grandmother.

The way your partner looks at you when they think no one is watching.

The deep breath you take right before walking down the aisle.

The beautiful thing about weddings is that they only happen once.

The beautiful thing about photographs is that they let you revisit those moments for the rest of your life.

What would you want your future self to remember most about your wedding day?

Can’t wait to kick off the wedding season tomorrow with Albert and Allison and this amazing team 🩷
