I’m excited to share that our September Head Shot Refresh is all about creating custom imagery with ACTORS!

This is perfect whether you’ve never had pro head shots taken before or need to supplement your existing portfolio with a specific look type. While the Refresh is quicker than a full 3-4 look day in the studio, you’ll find there is no less attention to detail.

You’ll receive wardrobe guidance and on-set styling from , light hair & makeup or grooming, a fully guided head shot session, and get to choose your favorite shots from a collection of images that you won’t be able to stop looking at.

Saddened to hear that we’ve lost incredible Judi. I think back to her branding session in 2018 often - and I’m sure you can tell why! Judi brought an inspiring amount of joy to everything she did, especially sharing her love of hooping with the world 💜

The weight of being a photographer is heavy on days like this, but capturing wonderful people like Judi celebrating themselves and their passions so confidently will always be an honor.

Admittedly, I am not so great (I suck) at the whole end of year recap thing - especially the last couple of years, which have felt a bit like I’ve been clutching onto my camera for dear life in the middle of a thunderstorm. I know I’m not the only photographer, nor the only human, who feels a similar way.

By December, I’m usually holed up and hunkered down, pushing through projects and waiting for the new year. The idea of posting makes my head spin, and that’s not even taking into consideration the fact that I’d have to find a way to summarize an entire year of unique photo shoots into one reel, carousel, or whatever the algorithm enjoys most on that particular day. Nooo thank you.

I’m hoping this year to be better about sharing my favorite looks from sessions in (well, closer to) real time. So, we’ll start with an easy throwback - this quintessential joyful head shot look we did for wonderful Christa in the fall. I could write a blog post about all of the elements that make this first image eye catching and inviting. I probably should… add that to the list. And of course, a smirky smizey second image and some BTS to accompany because I can ✨
