Last spring, I had the honor of capturing Nicole and Akira’s wedding in Puerto Rico, thanks to a dear friend who connected us. From the moment Nicole and I met, it felt instant. And Akira was the most involved groom I have ever worked with. The day before the wedding, we discussed his getting ready photos at the AirBnB, composition, lighting, and group photos, amongst other things!
Arriving a few days early, I was completely taken by the mountaintop views, the warmth of the island, and the way her family welcomed me as one of their own. It didn’t feel like work, it felt like being part of something meaningful.
I was born in Puerto Rico, have visited, but never experienced it this way.
Puerto Rico, you have my heart. I’ll be back soon.
