Some of my favorite words to hear from my couples are “I’m just really awkward and don’t look good in photos”. Why? Because my absolute favorite thing is to prove them wrong.

You always look incredible, trust. We all need direction in front of a camera, that’s totally normal. But what makes portraits beyond amazing? Two of you being in love. Corny as it sounds, I’m seeing each of you through a lens of love and it’s impossible to not look good.

Katie and Morgan are two of my favorite people who swore they weren’t photogenic. I BEGGED THEIR FINEST PARDON. Anyway, look at them. They are beyond stunning.

I cannot believe I did my followers the disservice of not having Becca and Kyle on the feed. LOOK AT THEM.

There’s a lot of things that inspire me during an engagement session. The obvious is the connection you and your partner share. I play off of your chemistry and your engagement photos are a reflection of your relationship.

The second inspiration is architecture. Philly is such a gem with architecture. Getting to play with symmetry and finding a way to incorporate you into it to feel like a gallery print just lights my creative fire.

These are all my favs but I have to know - what’s yours?

Dr and Dr Marotta, est 1.24.2026🥂

When Delaney inquired, she made it clear that their top priority was enjoying their day together. We enjoyed the hell out of yesterday, wind chill forgotten. The details were so intentional, like Delaney using her grandmother’s quinceañera purse that all of her cousins used for their wedding. Their moms putting together 175 boxes of chocolates. Riley’s speech during the reception that was a deep display of his love for Delaney and the people in the room. These are just the sneak peeks and I cannot wait to share more.

Let’s talk about film.

There is so much technical skill involved in film but every time it hits, what you feel is the emotion. The grain is just beyond delicious and the way it captures light literally gives me life.

We had a rainy morning in NYC and to be honest, we were kind of bummed to miss that golden sunrise light. I mean….why else would we meet for sunrise? I challenged myself to shoot the entire trip on film and boy did that pay off.
