To all my clients, truly… thank you.

I know delivery times have slowed and I just want to say thank you for all the kindness, patience and understanding, and check ins. Both publicly and privately it has not gone unnoticed.

Right now life looks a little different behind the scenes. I’m currently spending 72 hours a week doing nighttime care for my mother in hospice care. On top of that I sleep during the day, shoot photography on weekends, I still have to be a mom (thank you Josh for taking over), & I edit in the pockets of time I can.

This season has stretched me thin in ways I cannot begin to explain but I’m still here. I’m creating & delivering with care despite that it may be taking me a little bit longer to do so. To the clients who have given me grace, thank you.

Seriously, you all carry me more ways than you realize.

A few details from Britney & Brian’s wedding day.

Even with shorter timelines I’m in awe of the details and posing we can squeeze in. Britney & Brian were such a perfect match and it was all the more apparent on their wedding day. Truly one of the most calm couples to encounter and a type of love that I hope all couples can experience. A calm reassurance even in the midst of a stressful wedding day.

“Can I squish and kiss her cheek?” - Dylan

Absolutely, yes. We are all about the husbands who are all about their wives. 🩷 You can always tell what kind of couple they will be by how they treat each other on their wedding day.

Dylan was all about keeping things under control for Kathleen, any issue was kept under wraps and Dylan said “Don’t tell Kathleen until later, we got this.”

Kathleen spent the day cheesing hard at his jokes and encouraging Dylan to be himself. She was 1000% his cheerleader in every moment.

The perfect match. The peace keeper & the party starter.

Let’s hear it for the couple & the cropping! 👏🏻🩷

Officially loving the wedding season especially with such a great engagement session at the beginning of the season. Here’s to their 2027 wedding also falling right on my own 6 year wedding anniversary weekend. My husband and I are beyond excited to kick off our duo offerings with such a sweet couple.

I know spring is just about here! I’m sure you’ve all been out these past few warm days but here’s a reminder for my lovely couples that most things don’t begin to bloom until April/May.

Who says you can’t embrace the dead grass look anyways? Faith & Jaxon did and their engagement session was just perfect.

So many of our beautiful session locations from 2025 didn’t make it onto our location guide… yet! All of that changes now.

This week has been all about updating our locations, revamping the location guide style, & marking down all the clients we have to contact for timeline meetings next week! I cannot wait to share more beautiful locations just like this one with my clients this year. Of course we had to share one of our favorite newish areas from 2025, the Winterthur Gardens.

I always struggle to hit post sharing my why but I know my story is the reason some brides feel comfortable asking that I get a photo of their mother, father, etc. I know my role as a photographer seems small but I also know the impact a photo of a mother and a father can make.

It’s the little reactions, the family that surrounds you, & the teary eyed moments that make the day not just the “I do”.

On consult calls I hear this question often “What’s your shooting style?” and when I say candids are huge in my galleries I mean this. I’ll always get the big photos but the minute I can I’ll snap that photo of your dad teary eyed in a corner, you little niece in awe of you walking down the aisle, & of course the reaction your spouse has without a single prompt thrown their way. These moments are the irreplaceable ones. I speak from experience here.

My own wedding photos are irreplaceable to me, not that wedding day kiss but the photo of my mom hand in hand with my dad smiling walking up the steps, the one photo of my sister in law dancing happily in a group, the photo of my bridesmaids chasing around the venue’s one eyed cat. Those photos mean the world to me.

We are finalizing day of coordination details & photography details for this stunning venue!

Our team has finally gotten to the point of wedding days where repeat venues are becoming a part of our wedding schedules. This year we will be returning to this lovely venue for not just photography but also day of coordination. Of course our favorite part right now is getting to post a photo from Ellen & Andrew’s day all over again!

She’s a photographer! She’s a… mom!

Somehow I’m juggling diaper bags, SD cards, meltdowns, engagement sessions, snack time, and timelines all in the same day. Learning to balance the chaos with the creativity has been my biggest challenge and my greatest pride.

Motherhood made me softer. Photography made me sharper. A weird balance of type A for my clients & type B for my life to mesh it all together. I’m lucky enough to be living the most flexible lifestyle & even luckier to have supportive family & supportive clients who know I have to manage both.
