The dress is waiting nearby, the flowers carefully arranged, the shoes she’ll walk down the aisle in, and all the little details she chose so intentionally.

Each piece becomes part of the way she feels on her wedding day… beautiful, confident, completely dressed up, and ready to marry the person she loves most. Imagine you hired your sister at 36 weeks pregnant to photograph your wedding, and be a bridesmaid and these are the photos you get back.

Thankfully, I had the best associate/second shooter Nolan Guzman | Wedding Photographer alongside me to step in for the moments I was actually in photos — family portraits, bridal party photos, etc. Also, whenever my 36 week pregnant self needed to sit down and give my swollen feet a little break.

So yes, I photographed their wedding while very pregnant… but I definitely didn’t do it alone.

And honestly? Getting to be both their photographer AND their sister for this day was pretty special and I wouldn’t do it for anyone else. 🥺🤍

I had the incredible honor of documenting one of the most bittersweet sessions I’ve ever photographed.

This precious little one was placed in the loving care of this family as a newborn. We celebrated 10 months of growth, love, and milestones while also capturing the tender moments of saying goodbye as he would soon be reunited with his birth family.

Foster care is filled with both heartbreak and hope. What a beautiful reminder that love is never wasted, even when it requires letting go.

To honor this family’s wishes and protect this child’s privacy, I’ll only be sharing images that do not identify him.
