I know it’s such a busy season, but don’t let this season of life pass you by! That little gap toothed smile your daughter has will be gone by spring when a new tooth emerges. The way your children interact with their newborn baby brother will be different by the time he’s a toddler. Memories fade over time but photos last beyond your lifetime! Preserve those precious memories with timeless heirloom photographs that can be cherished for years to come!

One of the downsides of running a small business solo is how isolating it can be.

Melissa Hess, Lancaster Family Photographer and I have long considered each other “coworkers” even though we have our separate family photography businesses. We even used to second shoot weddings for each other back in the day!

Now that both off our youngest kids are in preschool, we’ve been getting together one morning a week to edit and conspire. Today’s work meeting consisted of crushing a lot of our editing pile from the busy start of fall, and making time for a few little silly reels to share with you all.

It has been amazing to have a friend in the industry, to laugh with and share ideas!

Those rolls won’t keep, but you know what will?

These photos.

They’ll be hung on walls, pasted into his baby book, pulled out for posters at school, and high school graduation. They’ll be shown to his own kids and grandkids someday and they’ll giggle at the fact that their grandpa was a baby once. They’ll finally figure out where the newest grandbaby got her dimply smile from.

Take the pictures, friends. It’s an investment that only increases in value over time. 🕰️
