Late summer evenings on South Topsail Beach just hit different. 🌊✨

This sweet family of four — Mom, Dad, and their two little girls — spent the evening barefoot in the sand, soaking up those last bits of golden light and making the kind of memories that deserve more than a spot in your camera roll. 🤍

Bye, August. 👋🏼🌊☀️ You were a good one.

A little look back at some of the beautiful people, salty evenings, sandy toes, golden light, and memories I had the privilege of capturing this month. 🤍

I’m going to start doing these monthly photo dumps because sometimes I’m so busy shooting, editing, delivering galleries, and moving on to the next session that I forget to stop and appreciate just how much we created in one month.

And now… we’re heading into one of my BUSIEST seasons. 🍂🎄📸

Your kids are NOT too little, too wild, too shy, or too busy for family photos. 🤍

I hear it all the time…

“There’s no way my toddler will cooperate.”
“My baby won’t sit still.”

Good news: they don’t have to. ✨

As a Topsail Island family photographer, I never expect little ones to stand perfectly still and smile on command. We let them run. We play. We take breaks. We snuggle. We explore the beach. And yes… sometimes we embrace a little bit of chaos. 😂

This sunrise session at Serenity Point in South Topsail Beach, NC was the sweetest mix of family photos + a first birthday milestone. Mom, Dad, their almost ONE-year-old little girl, and two Labradoodles who were more than happy to run wild through the sand and water. 🐾

And their little birthday girl? Total water baby. 💦 She may not be walking on her own just yet, but that wasn’t stopping her from getting those tiny feet in the Intracoastal Waterway every chance she got. Hand in hand with Mom and Dad, toes in the water, dogs splashing nearby… these are the moments I love capturing most.

It was hot, it was early, it was a little sandy and chaotic—and it was absolutely perfect. ☀️
