A little background story about these photos… 🦋
Every photo in this carousel was taken in my backyard, in the wildflower garden I planted for the first time this year, not knowing how it would do. My poor husband was dragged into it…I needed his help and he answered the call but something that turned out as a little idea has brought me so much joy for months now…
We are in the busy season of life, and I just wanted a little place at home where I could slow down and breathe.
As much as I love photographing people, being in nature fills a different part of me.
Give me some sunshine, a blanket, my pup Savannah, and time to notice all the little things God created, and I’m pretty content.
After a recent storm knocked the flowers around, I almost cut them down.
Then looked closer…I saw that the butterflies and bees still needed them.
Those flowers had more to give, so I let them be.
Instead, I grabbed my camera. Two hours passed watching monarchs flutter between blooms, and I could have stayed all day.
And yes, I completely geeked out editing every tiny wing detail.
This is a part of photography I truly love, and a little piece of me I wanted to share.
