It has been awhile since I have shared photos here on Facebook but this session is especially special for me. 12 years ago, I had the honor to capture Gabi's birth for Sarah. At the time, it was only the second time I had captured a birth story. It was Sarah, her mom and me. We were the first few people in the world to welcome her into this world. Gabi's dad was deployed and so having this birth story was especially important so that he could experience a piece of her birth story. 12 years later and after traveling with the military, Sarah and Jon brought their two children back to Wilmington and I got to see Gabi as a beautiful young lady.

I'm very excited to announce that I am booking birth story packages again after taking time off through the pandemic (for obvious reasons) and hospitals allowing extra folks in the room again.

About 2 years ago, this area was in a lockdown, stay at home situation due to Covid. A lot of businesses were affected and many of us (myself included) decided it was not worth it to continue. I shared a message to my clients that I was pulling back in my photography business but that if you were a client or knew of someone looking for a photographer, I was available upon request. I just cut back on the expenses of running my business in order to prevent losses during that time.

Fast forward 2 years and things have started to change along with requests from past clients continuing to hire me. I'm beyond grateful to continue to have these opportunities. All this to say that I am anxious to capture summer sessions again on the beach, parks and in your backyard. I'm offering a kick-off to summer pricing that is going to be my best deal in 10 years. It has been awhile since I've shared a birth story on this page. Covid has prevented birth photographers from being able to access hospital rooms. Up until this December, their policy prohibited the number of support people in a room. I'm looking forward to being able to capture the birth story for a client that I previously worked with to capture their first born. Birth stories are all unique and special and to get the opportunity to work with a family once more is always an honor. While I wait for the beautiful story of another family to take place, I thought I would share a special sweet story of this family that I captured a few years ago. I hope you enjoy!

I had a pretty busy Winter of photo shoots despite not promoting my business. I feel very fortunate that my past clients and friends spread the word about me to keep me busier than I expected. Decided that I really do love capturing families, babies being born and more. I had a unique photoshoot request recently of a woman that wanted to have portraits done to commemorate her 70 years of living life! That was a treat! I pulled back in promoting my business in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Despite that, I still captured families upon request. I was so lucky to photograph so many beautiful families and especially my new grandson!
