While I'm "taking time off" and getting back into the routine of the day job, I'll be queuing up some summer portraits that got overshadowed by all the events!! Starting with a throwback all the way to May's toller tulips 🌷I need to carve out more time for the tulip fest in 2027, it was too perfect!!

Airedale Makes Big Splash
In the Airedale Terrier Club of America’s August breed column, Nancy A. Nykamp interviews Karie Murawski, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, whose Airedale, Piper, is a high achiever in North America Diving Dogs (NADD). Nancy writes, “I had the thrill of watching Karie and Piper in action at the 2025 Waukesha Summer Splash Cluster. They were clearly a team that worked well together, knew how to have fun, and demonstrated that Airedales were indeed bred to swim.

“In fact, after watching this team, I can confidently say that Piper consistently adds her own special Airedale flair to nearly every splash!”

Karie says that “Airedales definitely are a rare sight at NADD events, so Piper gets a lot of attention. People are always excited to see an Airedale on the dock and stop to ask about her and cheer her on. …It’s fun to showcase what an Airedale can do and help people see that while they may not be the typical dock-diving breed, they absolutely enjoy it and can succeed in the sport.” (Photo: Katie Romig Photography)
