A lot of what I do for my couples never shows up in their final gallery…

But it does show up in how their wedding day feels.

If you’re wedding planning and searching for photographers, you should play a drinking game where you take a shot every time you read the word “timeless”. Good lord, there’s a lot of overused blah blah blah in this industry. 🤪

To me, what actually makes a photo stand the test of time is when it preserves a simple moment of pure happiness, connection, and togetherness.

We don’t know what tomorrow holds. Time is fleeting. The people you love, the sweet in-between moments, the way it all felt - those things won’t last forever.

That’s why it’s such an honor to quietly creep around with my camera and document those tender little gems for you. 🖤

Tuesday Tips: stuck on your first dance song?

I made a Spotify playlist dedicated to cool and unpredictable first dance tracks - a mix of classics, rad covers, and lesser-known gems.

Maybe you’ll find something new to love?

And if you know a great tune that deserves a spot, send it my way!

I received a review earlier this week that made my day and wanted to share…

“Working with Megan was such a joy from start to finish. Megan’s personable energy made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and she was genuinely easy to talk to throughout the entire planning process. What really sets her apart is her artistic eye—the photos she captured don’t feel like standard poses, but instead show who we actually are as a couple. Her thoughtful approach meant she understood what mattered to us and translated that into every single shot. We’ll treasure these images for a lifetime, and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a photographer who delivers both high-end work and authentic moments.” 🫶

Tuesday Tips: 5 ways to breeze through family photos…

Tight timelines and big personalities can sometimes make family photos feel chaotic. As a Fort Worth wedding photographer who’s seen it all, I’m sharing my top tips to keep this part of your wedding day quick, organized, and stress-free.

1. CREATE A LIST - A clear, well-prepared list is the foundation of smooth and organized family photos. Include all the groupings you want, along with names, relationships, and any unique situations. The more detailed, the better! I always review this with my couples ahead of time so everyone’s on the same page.

2. KEEP IT SHORT & SWEET - Try to keep your list around 10–15 groupings. A shorter list means more time to actually enjoy your day. You can always grab additional, more casual photos with extended family and friends during the reception.

3. ASSIGN A FAMILY PHOTO WRANGLER - Choose a reliable friend or family member to help gather people and keep things moving. This is especially helpful if you have a large family or a longer-than-recommended photo list.

4. COMMUNICATE WITH FAMILY AHEAD OF TIME - Let family members know in advance if they need to arrive early or stay after the ceremony for photos. A quick text or email sharing your timeline helps everyone know exactly where to be and when.

5. TAKE FAMILY PHOTOS IN ONE BLOCK - Plan to tackle all family photos in one focused chunk of time. It keeps lighting consistent, the flow smooth, and makes the process less disruptive overall.

Save this for later or send it to an engaged friend 🤍

Tuesday Tips: A Simple Trick for Greeting All Your Guests

Instead of going table-to-table during dinner, greet guests at the start of the buffet line before they grab their food.

Your guests come to you, nobody’s mid-bite, and it’s an easy way to capture some fun candid interactions.
