I'm an award-winning freelance photographer based in Fort Worth, Texas. Twenty years in and I am still doing what I love.

As a visual artist with a passion for travel and people, I specialize in portraits, landscapes, aerial, and street photography. I started Tim Smith Photography while attending graduate school and have been telling stories with a camera every since - both stills and video. Excited to share that I was chosen to be a part of the Keyholder cohort.

I applied to this program because I genuinely believe in what SteerFW is doing for Fort Worth. Connecting emerging leaders, building civic engagement, and creating a city that actually reflects all of its people. That mission means something to me.

Grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to the work ahead.

Walked out of my front door in west Fort Worth to a lunar eclipse this morning. Just a few clouds, but overall a clear view on a quiet morning.

Aurora in north Texas. I know I’m late in sharing. 😉

What a sight, parking my car in the middle of Broken Rd north of Mineral Wills Texas a couple weeks ago. Literally, the road name is Broken Rd. And then stumbling upon a small church near Bridgeport as the aurora was fading (Balsura Baptist Church).

What a worthwhile morning. Technically I’m on vacation. But I stopped by the Second Chance Cafe to greet and his team. They served over 310 meals to unhoused neighbors.

A neighbor needed a jacket and fortunately I had an extra fleece-lined “shacket” in my car I could spare.

There were great conversations and greetings in abundance with neighbors and friends. There was a lot of humanity and dignity in Dallas this morning. And it almost seemed as if I was where I was supposed to be.
