When we provided this photo shoot for our client, I suggested we take some images outside on their lovely patio, even though it was still quite cold. I’m happy to see them putting these pictures to good use now that that patio will likely be crowded for the next few months!

Ninebark is a lovely shrub with its dark foliage and fragrant flowers that open in late spring. I’m usually not a fan of botanical pics taken in full sunlight but I think these iPhone shots came out well with a touch of editing using Snapseed.

Weigela shrubs don’t bloom long but they’re lovely for the two weeks or so these trumpet-shaped flowers are open!

Barn Swallows make cup-shaped nests out of mud and dried grasses. Yesterday’s rain provided these birds in our neighborhood a chance to collect some mud and suitable grassy pieces to start nesting.
