Finding the words to write this have been near impossible. I’ve lost a huge part of my heart. My beloved and amazing sidekick, Jacki, has gained her wings. If you’ve been a couple of mine in the last 8 years, there’s a good chance Jacki was also apart of your day. While I normally would grieve privately, I know many have come to know and love the beautiful person Jacki was. She deserves a greater tribute than I’m capable of right now. The pain of her loss is tremendous and I’m trying my best to get through this loss with as much grace as I can muster.

Carrying on without Jacki seems very impossible. I love weddings but I loved them the most with Jacki. The one to remind me we haven’t had dessert yet or keep my life together when I’m trying to be in 10 places at once. The way she knew exactly what I was thinking with a weird glance from across the room. The friendship we’ve formed these last 8 years can’t be summed up in this post - there simply isn’t enough space to convey how much this girl means to me. While my loss is great, it cannot compare to the loss her family is enduring. They’ve lost a wife, mother, daughter, sister. To Jacki, her family was her everything. Please pray for their comfort.

To my little boss: you’ve been one of the best friends I could ever ask for. I’m thankful fate found its way to bring us together and I know that same fate will help us find each other in every life after this. I love you so very much.
